replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A2 Anyone who says they're 100% certain of their ancestry is lying to you or deluding themselves. My research is as good as I can get it so far with the tools, time, and money available to me, and the accessible extant records & available DNA tests. #CultureTrav
replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A4: My great-great grandfather was a trapeze artist, he moved to Ireland and travelled around with a cinema. He set up a cinema in Co. Limerick that was a family run business until 1972. It isn’t in the family anymore 😔 1/2 #CultureTrav
A3 I have a great-grandmother from England. I studied in London for a semester. Does that count? #culturetrav

Found most of my great great grandparents on both sides all arrived to the US from their native countries between 1870-1874. Ireland, Sweden, Germany and France. Still digging though! =D 📚

replying to @CourseCharted @CourseCharted The craziest part was, the house is now a museum. I went there and wondered aloud about the lives of the people that worked there. Then I read this couple's story for the first time and realized I'd been wondering about my own family. It gave me goosebumps. #CultureTrav

replying to @The_ChrisBryant @The_ChrisBryant @CourseCharted @brianmayroam I think it's a requirement to only say "croissant" with the heaviest French accent you can muster. #CultureTrav
replying to @OTourists @OTourists Oh wow! We love trips to battlefields. Ypres in Belgium and is great for WW1 trenches. I also really loved my trip to Arras in France to have tours of the WW1 tunnels. They're pretty terrifying! #culturetrav
replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A4...That there is Scandinavian ancestry, which explains my love of seafood and perhaps why I don't eat meat because of digestion issues. #CultureTrav
