Q3: Have you visited the land(s) of your ancestors? Would you like to plan an ancestry trip? #CultureTrav

A3: Since I recently uncovered some Swedish and Norwegian roots, I wouldn't mind planning a trip to both. Any tips welcome! :) #CultureTrav

A3. Most of my ancesters seem to be from the UK, except a great-great grandmother from Europe somewhere. I may even have been without realising! I've visited some of the battlefield sites in France and Belgium, where my Great-Uncle fought in WW2 #culturetrav

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A3: I went to Bratislava, Slovakia for two days, but it wasn't nearly enough. And my family isn't from that area, so I'd love to go back and go to the towns they're actually from. #CultureTrav

A3: I'm a standard northern European mix, so yes. And, I've been to the tiny town in southern England of my surname (twice). No digital photos of Mattingly, England. But other photos of the cozy pub there. I actually got a genealogy book from the greenhouse there. #CultureTrav

#CultureTrav A3. My dad’s from Jamaica and I’ve visited there a few times. But we also have German and Polish blood in us.

A3: I've been to a few places my ancestors came from, including England and Ireland. But I didn't know I had Dutch ancestry until I came back from #Amsterdam! #CultureTrav

replying to @brianmayroam @brianmayroam A3: Not yet, but I do want to get there, starting with the Portland, Maine area. Several generations of Bryant’s there, and is where my genealogy runs cold.

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A3 Yes and I have gone as far as visiting the ruins of a farmstead my great-great-great-grandmother and her second husband farmed in Fife, Scotland. She was the person who fully hooked me on family history research through her amazing story. #CultureTrav
