Q6: Canada and the USA are considered to be two of the great melting pots. How important do you think it is to know your roots? #CultureTrav

replying to @brianmayroam @brianmayroam A6: Today more than ever I think we all need to know where we come from, understand our backgrounds and just realize how similar we all are.

A6. I think it's interesting but not maybe all that important. Hmmm #CultureTrav

A6: I think it’s important only insofar as it emphasizes our general interconnectedness. You go back far enough and we really all merge - it’s a comforting thought about how similar humanity is even when it is predisposed to find difference. #CultureTrav #Ancestry https://t.co/wek3FGTwLO

A6. I don't think it's important to know your roots, but it's interesting. Lots of people are adopted and never know their ancestry. It's the family who raise you and love you that matter most #culturetrav

A6 I think it's as important as you make it. Each person's sense of identity is totally individual. People need to feel connected to one another in different ways, and this is one option, but we each create our own unique story. #culturetrav

A6: I think knowing your history is interesting as your ancestors play a huge role in the how and where. But I think it's equally important to recognize and celebrate being a Canadian and the rich cultural diversity we are surrounded by in the moment of today #culturetrav
