replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A2 I’m big on recycling at home, so when I travel I look for recycling containers at the airport & participate in the airline’s recycling program. If a resort has recycling containers in my room or on the grounds, I use those, too. #CultureTrav

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A1: this means being mindful: knowing what my presence in a place does to the environment and the people and making my decisions based on research. #CultureTrav

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A2 Recently I have tried to use the least plastic possible, including straws and plastic containers whilst travelling #culturetrav

A2 I could do more the stay green when travelling, but one thing I make sure of is to have a folding tote bag in my purse to use for any purchases. #culturetrav

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @Nicolette_O @travelcricket8 Yes, it was. Since the cats we're housesitting wake us up at 530am every day without fail, we have started going to sleep earlier & watching the sunrise every morning and they are so beautiful. Now I know why @MrScottEddy has been getting up early all these years :) #CultureTrav

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O #CultureTrav A2) I wear lots of it (my favorite color), but kidding aside, I try to eat at locally sourced restaurants, recycle trash whenever possible, avoid single-use plastics.

replying to @travelcricket8 @travelcricket8 A.2 avoid using plastic and look for ways to use recycled stuff. One thing you can do is carry your own water bottle, fill it at the hotel or place you’re staying at instead of buying bottled water #culturetrav

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A2 Excellent question! I have those little travel containers I use to put lotions or hair care inside. I bring my own straws & bamboo utensils. #CultureTrav
