Q4: Sounds can transport us to different memories and times. Is there a particular sound–or song– that brings you back to a travel experience? #CultureTrav
A4: Electronic music transports me to different parts of the world. So much variety! #CultureTrav
A4: We went to Krakow because 2 of my husband's grandfathers were born there & emigrated before the Holocaust. It was heartening 2 find a rebirth of Jewish culture there. Video of our last night, enjoying family-style dinner & violin/accordion Klezmer #music. #CultureTrav
A4 Ah, the incessant sound of honking traffic in India! The moment I hear it, I know I'm there (and I want it to stop). 🚖🚗🚕 #CultureTrav
A4: Any time I hear water running, it takes me back to waterfalls we've found here in the US and elsewhere. <3 chasing those like TLC. :)

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A4: the call to prayer in Istanbul, my first experience of that #CultureTrav
replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A4: I prefer the lack of sound. My favorite is being up & out early with a coffee when I'm traveling, when everything is still before most of the city has woken up. I absolutely love that feeling. Also, "Sweet Home Alabama" and Oktoberfest. They love that song. #CultureTrav
replying to @travelcricket8 @travelcricket8 A4. I swear this is not an ad and it will sound funny but The Body Shop's Rainforest Shine Shampoo reminds me of London. Maybe because I used it there for the first time. Some smells remind me certain cities #CultureTrav

replying to @travelcricket8 @travelcricket8 A4 I wrote three articles about songs reminding me of Morocco. Cool? https://t.co/GOd4hXeOwk #travel #CultureTrav
#culturetrav A4: The song "By The Way" by Red Hot Chilli Peppers was the soundtrack to a tour of China I did in a group in 2002, because one of the gang bought the album from a dodgy stall in Yangshuo and played it constantly ...
replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A4 a little off topic but the sound of me plugging my travel site on national TV in the UK! #CultureTrav https://t.co/rT6N2JO1qZ
replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A4 In college I went to Paris and it seemed like we'd hear Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" everywhere we went. #CultureTrav
#culturetrav A4: dodgy 90s techno was commonly played in minibuses and share taxis in the former USSR on my visits in the mid-2010s!
A4: I really love the crunch of snow when I'm #snowshoeing on a quiet trail. It's the sound of #winter for me. https://t.co/gcBcmBzNgL #culturetrav

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A4. Oh also. This will be a two-part answer. The song "Heathens" by Twenty One Pilots reminds me of Washington D.C. because it was on the radio the entire time I lived there :-/ #CultureTrav

A4. Haha! I rented a car from a teacher in Alaska one summer. It was rebuilt by his class and had only a tape deck. I could only find (used) tapes at one store and Air Supply was my choice ALL SUMMER LONG! #culturetrav https://t.co/qMovY12IFW
replying to @travelcricket8 @travelcricket8 A4: Havana. Woke up to cock crows, people fetching water & buckets banging. I also smelt rain for the first time since I was a child in Nigeria. That's never happened here & I was immediately transported home. I had a strong sense of deja vu! #CultureTrav
replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A4 The first time we drove to Port Canaveral for a cruise, Rihanna’s “Only Girl (In the World)” played on the radio several times. I can’t hear that song without thinking about our drive. #CultureTrav
