replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A3. I come from a very untraditional family, my parents are hippies and my son is not that much younger than me, so I think our tradition is probably being untraditional! Which is likely what led me to live in an airstream and travel full time! ☺️ #CultureTrav

A4: No matter where I go, I keep a gratitude journal. I didn't discover this while traveling, but I like to reflect on my day and what I've learned/what went well/what could've gone better, and little things to be grateful for! #CultureTrav

A3: Many of my ancestors came from Norway, so we make and eat Norwegian food at Christmas. In fact, I was about 10 before I realized that not everybody had lefse (potato flatbread) at Christmas dinner and that the cookies I loved weren’t made from American recipes. #CultureTrav

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A4. Talismans to ward off the evil eye curse. I have one hanging above my door, one in my car, and gave many to friends when I returned from my trip.

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A4. As a full time traveler, I'll answer the opposite way! 😊 Back home, my most consistent daily tradition was grinding my coffee beans in the morning and taking the time to make a cup of pourover coffee. On the road, I continue to carry on that daily tradition! #CultureTrav

replying to @JulesHalvy @JulesHalvy @Nicolette_O Andrew Zimmern once did a Bizarre Foods thing on it and it's part of the Swedish tradition in the Midwest. Not gonna lie, it didn't look appetizing. Sorry. #CultureTrav

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A3 #CultureTrav we have always enjoyed fresh produce and try to hit the local farmer’s markets/fruit stands when we travel for the best product in season.

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A5: Philly has the Mummers Parade, where people dress up in elaborate costumes and march through the middle of the city playing instruments and dancing. Someone usually does something racist and it turns into a huge drunken mess, but people love it. #CultureTrav

A5: It's a relatively new tradition, but #Fargo, #NorthDakota decided to embrace the cold weather we're famous for with a #winterfestival called Frostival. It's a blast. #CultureTrav

A5 Our sleepy little town square in Bel Air, MD becomes a BBQ mecca once a year during the big BBQ Bash. It's a great fundraiser and you can't go there without running into friends and neighbors.
