In France, someone asked if we were American, we said we were Canadian, and they apologized profusely for offending us. #CultureTrav

A4: America gets a lot of mixed opinions, mostly derived from pop culture and more particularly, my hometown of #Chicago is often seen as dangerous which I find quite funny (and it gives me street cred when I travel!) 😉✈️ #CultureTrav

A4. Loud, pushy, demanding, know-it-alls who get upset when something isn't as they "expected it to be". In some cases, I saw this first-hand. Sadly, too often, people mentioned that I wasn't like the stereotype they've heard of or perceived. But, not always. #CultureTrav
