replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A3. The James Joyce sundial statue in the @MerrionHotel garden, Dublin. Base of statue has quotations from Ulysses. As the sun moves, it highlights the passages so you can see what the protaganist was doing at various points of the day. Loved it. #CultureTrav

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A5: Yep, in Fiji. We discovered the “floating island” in Vanua Levu, and when we stopped at a village for directions, we were the first white people some of them had ever seen in real life. #culturetrav

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A3 #CultureTrav there is a passage for bikes under a main bridge in Luxembourg, and it gives you an amazing view! This photo was taken from there 🥰

A4: Oh I think slower travel helps tremendously with hidden gems, because you get more time to explore and take your time. You see things you might not have seen otherwise. #CultureTrav #oregon #travel

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A4: It gives you the breathing space and the mind space to reach out to off-the-beaten-path, difficult to access hidden gems almost no other travellers get to see, such as Pozo Azul sinkhole in #Baracoa, #Cuba: https://t.co/vA8f6GCHAW #CultureTrav @travelcricket8

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A5 heck yeah, I would have never known about the sacred albino bison at @Nemacolin in @laurelhighlands if someone did not tell me. Amazing animal! Worshipped by Native Americans. #travel #CultureTrav

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A4) I think when you get to truly spend enough time to explore and not in a hurry to see the “major sites,” it truly enhances what you see and find and truly enables you to connect and enjoy the “small” things. 📸 from Petoskey, MI where I got to stay a week. #CultureTrav

A5 I like to live with locals or in close contacts with locals when I travel so did get some very good recommendations for hidden gems and more secluded places that I like. #CultureTrav

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A4 yes. As as american I still tend to rush. I recommend getting in the subway 🚇 metro 🚋 etc & checking out something that’s been on your bucket list. Then explore around that place. Sometimes you’ll find something more excited then what you set out do #CultureTrav #ILoveNY
