A4: The slower the pace, the more you’re able to see and appreciate! This applies to travel and every day life. #CultureTrav

A4 Staying a place for a month or more gives you a lot more time to get lost and find what you want. #culturetrav https://t.co/yOPOGdXJnR

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A4: Slow travel gives you time to explore places and wander or drive without time pressures & discover things you might not always look twice at if you’re on a schedule. #culturetrav

A4 I think you see the most while hiking and slow travel because you make the time to explore. Found so many nice places while hiking #CultureTrav

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A4: when I spent 2 months in Wrocław, Poland, I was able to meander and go out to lunch with a bunch of friends who were already living there. Got a chance to try lots of places I never would have seen had I not spent 8 weeks there. #Poland #CultureTrav

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A4 #CultureTrav You can stay in Rome for a week and see enough. or you can see Rome in two days, rent a car and LEAVE, which is what I highly recommend. I prefer slow travel, however. You can take your time, impulsively leave, really take in the sights. it's wonderful.

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A4: No question. On a 4 month solo European trip I landed in Seville in orange blossom season. Unbelievably lovely and the entire city smelled great. Rushing around would not allow for such serendipity. #CultureTrav

A4: #SlowTravel makes all the difference when looking for #hidengems - I was on a night walk in #Chicago around the holidays and saw a festive display outside a hotel I had passed by a hundred times! This time, I took a closer look and WOW! 😍✨ #CultureTrav @GodfreyHotel

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A4) Absolutely, that's why John Muir would prefer to use the word saunter instead of hike because it meant that he was observing the surroundings and not just trying to get to the destination as quick as possible. #CultureTrav

A4: Oh I think slower travel helps tremendously with hidden gems, because you get more time to explore and take your time. You see things you might not have seen otherwise. #CultureTrav #oregon #travel

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A4: It gives you the breathing space and the mind space to reach out to off-the-beaten-path, difficult to access hidden gems almost no other travellers get to see, such as Pozo Azul sinkhole in #Baracoa, #Cuba: https://t.co/vA8f6GCHAW #CultureTrav @travelcricket8

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A4) I think when you get to truly spend enough time to explore and not in a hurry to see the “major sites,” it truly enhances what you see and find and truly enables you to connect and enjoy the “small” things. 📸 from Petoskey, MI where I got to stay a week. #CultureTrav

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O A4 yes. As as american I still tend to rush. I recommend getting in the subway 🚇 metro 🚋 etc & checking out something that’s been on your bucket list. Then explore around that place. Sometimes you’ll find something more excited then what you set out do #CultureTrav #ILoveNY

A4. Slow travel allows you the ability take in more of your surroundings under an unhurried pace, creating opportunities to discover what you may have missed otherwise, as in this plaque seen on a brick wall while strolling through Pamplona/Iruna, Spain. #CultureTrav

A4 with our holidays being in little bits and pieces we don't do slow travel but we do like going to places we don't know much about - In Aarhus last October there was a bog body, a rainbow panorama and the largest barrow in Denmark! #culturetrav
