A1: I love big cities, but sometimes it's fun to visit small towns and change the pace. As long as there's enough to do. Smaller cities are great for weekend getaways! No rush to "see it all." #GenXTravel

A1: I'm a city traveler. I love all the cultural offerings (museums, galleries, festivals, etc.) and restaurants and lounges than an urban environment has. I like exploring the different neighborhoods and just feeling the higher energy and excitement of a city. #GenXTravel

A1. I am probably more of a city traveler. I live in the country so city appeals to me when traveling. Also there is more to do in the cities. #GenXTravel

replying to @VoyagerVicki @VoyagerVicki A1: Big cities are generally where the top restaurants or most famous places are, but the smaller towns and countrysides are always a little more local. Less catering to tourists, less English, more culture. I prefer the small towns. #GenXTravel

A2: I like the option of seeing many sights/ having different experiences in a compact area, not having to rent a car or figure out complicated transportation logistics, having a larger choice of restaurants than small towns provide, and interesting people watching. #GenXTravel

replying to @VoyagerVicki @VoyagerVicki Oooh, good question. Cesky Krumlov in Czechia was wonderful, as was Salento in Colombia. And I've always loved Pleasant Bay in Nova Scotia. #GenXTravel

replying to @jettingaround @jettingaround Me too. One of my favorite city activities is taking a walking tour to orient myself with a new place and learn about its history. #GenXTravel

replying to @RyanTravelsEats @RyanTravelsEats I loved Salento and wished I had more time there (I was unfortunately only there for a day/2 nights while visiting the region). I must go to Cesky Krumlov when I'm in that part of the world again. #GenXTravel

A3: Usually accommodation is more expensive in cities. If you have a car, it could be difficult/expensive to find parking. #GenXTravel

replying to @jettingaround @jettingaround A3: Congestion and rush hour. Especially in cities that sprawl. When we were in Lima, it felt so spread out and traffic was so bad it took us forever to get anywhere. We got tired of that real quick. #GenXTravel
