replying to @GenXTraveler @GenXTraveler @ankit1989 Yes it was. When I think of Russia I think of cold and snow. So, it was appropriate. #GenXTravel

replying to @mylestotravel @mylestotravel Hi there Bisa! Nice to see you. I know you have been kicking some butt recently. Good for you! #GenXTravel

Q5: Have you traveled anywhere to participate in an athletic/fitness event? Marathon or triathlon? Surfing? #GenXTravel

A4) Fall in New Hampshire is a great mental health break - quiet, peaceful, etc. #GenXTravel Agree--These photos are from my trip there 4 years ago in October.

Q5. Have you traveled anywhere to participate in an athletic/fitness event? Marathon or triathlon? Surfing? #GenXTravel

A1: I try to eat healthier food when I travel and walk a lot of places. For the longest time, I thought that you're on vacation so every day can be a cheat day. That is so NOT true. Maybe one day can be a cheat day, but definitely not all of them! #genxtravel

replying to @FrankDiCesare @FrankDiCesare That's not really fair. Where did you go in Mexico? It's a big place. I live in one of the safest cities in Mexico. #GenXTravel

replying to @llworldtour @llworldtour Hi there, Lisa! Glad you could join us! #GenXTravel

A1. Yes! It is now. I started exercising every day 3 yrs ago so I make it a priority when I travel too. I still do my workouts every morning..no matter where. I even worked out in the @YotelHQ! #GenXTravel

RT @GenXTraveler: Hope you will join us at 12 noon ET for #GenXTravel Chat. Today we are discussing Healthy Travel. @betsihill @raulersontr…

replying to @llworldtour @llworldtour @YotelHQ That's awesome! Do you have any tips for exercising on the road when there's no equipment, carpet, yoga mat, etc.? #GenXTravel

replying to @GenXTraveler @GenXTraveler A5. I used to travel for half and full marathons, but only in the US. I'd like to do a race internationally #GenXTravel

A3: Fish! It is far too fishy for me. I also to to avoid dairy more when out and about. #genxtravel

replying to @VoyagerVicki @VoyagerVicki @YotelHQ - 1. I do videos that are on my laptop. So if I only have my phone..i put them in Dropbpx. #GenXTravel

A4: I would love to do a yoga retreat someday! But, I suck at yoga and look like an uncoordinated doofus haha I would still go and try it though! #genxtravel

replying to @VoyagerVicki @VoyagerVicki @YotelHQ ...also i borrow weights from the hotel. If none, i improvise! Wine bottles, etc. :D #GenXTravel

A6: This is a challenge for me. I do a lot of walking, but that's about it. Theoretically I might do some yoga or pilates, but not really. Any suggestions? I'm curious how others stay fit while traveling. #GenXTravel

replying to @llworldtour @llworldtour @YotelHQ Great idea! I never thought of exercising with wine--just drinking it ; ) #GenXTravel

A6) Lots of walking. My wife and I recently went to #London and walked quite a bit. #GenXTravel

replying to @llworldtour @llworldtour @YotelHQ Good for you. I used to be that dedicated but not so much recently. Since my hip replacement 3 years ago I have struggled to get back in the swing of it. #GenXTravel

A6. I walk a lot when I'm traveling but I don't do much else. However, when I am on cruises I use the gym since it is right there. Gyms aren't something I will go looking for in a city. #GenXTravel

replying to @FrankDiCesare @FrankDiCesare It's soooo expensive to ride the Tube. So, walking is a great choice in London. #GenXTravel

A4. I haven't done a yoga retreat yet, but would like do. I've done some cycling trips like 2 wks in Vietnam w @Intrepid_travel #GenXTravel

replying to @VoyagerVicki @VoyagerVicki @YotelHQ Sometimes it's the only thing with weight that i can find. Or water bottles, but they are pretty light! #GenXTravel

replying to @GenXTraveler @GenXTraveler A5 Does yoga count? 😉 I've been on a retreat in Bali and Mexico. #GenXTravel

replying to @VoyagerVicki @VoyagerVicki London as a whole is far from a cheap date, but it's a great city. One of my faves. #GenXTravel

replying to @llworldtour @llworldtour @Intrepid_Travel What was the cycling trip like in Vietnam? That sounds interesting. Seems like it's mostly flat too, right? #GenXTravel

Q7: Have you traveled any place that required vaccines? Where? Which ones? When you have traveled to places that recommend vaccines, do you get them or only the required ones? Why or Why not? #GenXTravel

A3. I've been cutting most meat out of my diet. But I do eat most everything when I travel tho bc I want to try the local food. #genxtravel

replying to @GenXTraveler @GenXTraveler A6. I try to walk instead of Uber when I can. I also like to do bike and walking tours. #GenXTravel

replying to @GenXTraveler @GenXTraveler A6 When I'm at a new destination, I love to walk around and explore the city or town. My favorite walking cities of recent: Paris, Rome, Sydney. #GenXTravel

A7: Yes, several countries--I think most were recommended, but required. I don't remember exactly. I have my Yellow Fever vaccine now for future countries that require it. I also got Typhoid, Polio, Hep A&B for a multi-country trip years ago. #GenXTravel

Q7. Have you traveled any place that required vaccines? Where? Which ones? When you have traveled to places that recommend vaccines, do you get them or only the required ones? Why or Why not? #GenXTravel

A6: I try to walk a lot when I'm in a walking friendly location, yoga (I can look like an uncoordinated doofus in my hotel room), I also recently got a resisitance band to take with me when I travel #GenXTravel

A7. I believe I have traveled to places that require Hep A and Hep B shots but I can't recall the specifics. Probably Egypt and South America. I'm not 100% sure because I had those done years ago for a job. I only get required vaccines. Cost and safety concerns. #GenXTravel

A7: I've taken malaria pills twice for trips--although I was only in affected regions maybe a day or two. Had I known that, I probably wouldn't have bothered. #GenXTravel

replying to @VoyagerVicki @VoyagerVicki @Intrepid_Travel Yeah! IT was a variety each day of distance, etc. and you could always get on the support vehicle if you were tired, etc. It was great. It was 10 yrs ago now! https://t.co/ONMmQp0p03 #GenXTravel
