replying to @Pinkzenjoy @Pinkzenjoy @VoyagerVicki @GenXTraveler Hey lady! How are you?! #GenXTravel

A1: Cultural travel is a journey to learn more about people and their culture. This could be directly from interacting with locals, or indirectly through museums, festivals, events, etc. #GenXTravel

A1. I see cultural travel as exploring on a deeper level to get to know local culture, people, and customs. It's not ticking items off a list; it's about immersing yourself. Picture from Wrocław, #Poland! #GenXTravel

replying to @VoyagerVicki @VoyagerVicki Love it, Vicki! 😍😃Your adventurous soul is great! #GenXTravel

replying to @Pinkzenjoy @Pinkzenjoy I'm planning on Arizona and Las Vegas at the beginning of next month. Then, maybe Italy. And, Toronto at the end of November. Yay--future travel! 😀 #GenXTravel

replying to @VoyagerVicki @VoyagerVicki A1 All about exploring the local customs traditions ancient history and architecture and of course the cuisine and interacting with the locals to learn and discover more. #GenXTravel

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O And love your definition too! I think cultural travel does tend to be "deeper" than other types of travel (beach vacations, etc.) #GenXTravel

RT @ChinaMatt: A1 Cultural travel is all about learning about local history, art, customs, and cuisine. #genxtravel

replying to @VoyagerVicki @VoyagerVicki Right?! Exactly! That image of a beach came to mind for me, too. Nothing wrong with a nice beach day, but I personally couldn't *just* only be at the beach if traveling abroad somewhere. #GenXTravel

replying to @VoyagerVicki @VoyagerVicki Ooh wow. Yay to all future travel 😀👍 #GenXTravel

A2: Yes, learning more about people, their history, culture, and destination is why I travel. #GenXTravel

A2. I definitely see myself as a cultural traveler. Love to get to know places and what makes them unique! Picture of musicians playing traditional Irish music from Kilkenny, Ireland. #GenXTravel

replying to @Nicolette_O @Nicolette_O Me too. Beaches are boring after a while. I like to both learn and relax when traveling. Although, not sure relaxation ever really happens, as I both work and do lots of sightseeing. #GenXTravel

replying to @Pinkzenjoy @Pinkzenjoy What about you? Any future travel coming up? #GenXTravel

replying to @Pinkzenjoy @Pinkzenjoy @VoyagerVicki @GenXTraveler Haha! No worries. Glad you're here on #GenXTravel

replying to @VoyagerVicki @VoyagerVicki Exactly! Completely agree with you, Vicki. No relaxation for wanderers 😀too much to explore 🤣#genxtravel

Ireland was my first foreign country visited and first flight. Great memories of my first international trip. I'm starting to return to past countries, and Ireland will likely happen again someday too. #GenXTravel https://t.co/Ao4ToJRBbz

RT @ChinaMatt: A2 Culture is one of the main reasons I travel. That and nature. #genxtravel

RT @VoyagerVicki: Q2: Do you consider yourself a cultural traveler? Why or why not? #GenXTravel

A3: Most everywhere I've traveled has been for culture--including the Inter Tribal Indian Ceremonial in Gallup, NM. #GenXTravel

A3. I aim to explore local culture everywhere I go! My parents instilled that wanderlust in me (been traveling since I was a baby). I was recently in Maine, and loved being on/near the water, and of course having #lobster ;) #GenXTravel

replying to @VoyagerVicki @VoyagerVicki A2 Yes it’s my main motivation to explore different cultures. I travel for something unique from what’s at home whether it’s architecture distinctive to a region or the history and local traditions or to explore the cuisine. #GenXTravel

replying to @VoyagerVicki @VoyagerVicki That’s awesome! We went in March and can’t wait to go back! What a fantastic country and love that it was your first foreign country 😀👍😍#GenXTravel
