A4: I learn about culture directly from meeting locals in a place, attending special events and festivals popular in the destination, and lots and lots of (mostly history, ethnographic, and/or folk) museums. #GenXTravel

A4 Besides finding a good local museum, we try to get to a local flea market type place or festival of some sort. It's always neat to see what other cultures sell or celebrate.

A5: I'm most fascinated by cultures with a rich history, unique art and architecture, and yummy food. Currently, I'm really interested in the Caucasus and the 'Stans, Iran, and Russia. #GenXTravel

A5. Tough to narrow this down, as exploring different cultures is endlessly fascinating to me. Especially cultures different from my own European culture/Western culture! #GenXTravel
