#GenXTravel A8) The U.S. is good for quick response and care. But it’s very expensive. Also after listening to the Dr. Death podcast, I’ll be eyeing up every doctor I meet

A9. I think the broken healthcare system in the US may be driving this trend in #MedicalTourism . This is only a suspicion and not based in any particular fact. #GenXTravel

replying to @obligatraveler @obligatraveler #GenXTravel Singapore does have a good reputation. The infrastructure in Singapore can put a lot of countries that think they are advanced to shame.

#GenXTravel A9) The U.S. is very strict, political, and bureaucratic about treatments and meds so it might be necessary to travel for different treatments

A9. Our country's healthcare system is expensive, so this type of travel becomes a real option to be considered. #genxtravel

A10. Any expensive procedure not covered by medical insurance where it would be more cost effective to have performed elsewhere. And definitely dental procedures. #GenXTravel #MedicalTourism

replying to @PostcardJar @PostcardJar Are you from the US? Sorry if you already said and I missed it. #GenXTravel

replying to @GenXTraveler @GenXTraveler A9 I have no idea. I don't think it's something I hear about the U.S. I feel like we are looking for places to go outside the U.S. that are reasonable. #genxtravel #medicaltourism

#GenXTravel A 10) Nothing specifically, but I’d be open to any meds or treatments that could better manage my lupus or pulmonary hypertension

Fun Chat @GenXTraveler ! When it the next one so I can get it on my calendar? #genxtravel #medicaltourism

A11. Without a doubt cost but also the unavailability in my country. Stem-cell replacement is being done around the world but not so much in the US. And if you do have it done, medical insurance wont pay for it. It's very expensive. #GenXTravel #MedicalTourism

A11. Availability of a need procedure not available here along with cost and quality of care available. #genxtravel

Mark your calendar for the next #GenXTravel Chat on March 6th at 12 noon ET. We will be discussing Packing Hacks and Tips. I think I have some good questions lined up.

replying to @PostcardJar @PostcardJar Late or not, we're always glad to have you! #GenXTravel
