replying to @GenxtravelC @GenxtravelC #genxtravel from uk, nottinghamshire. Where last weekend spring arrived. then it got wintry again. I did go for a walk though while it wasn't too cold.

replying to @GenxtravelC @GenxtravelC I made it today! I'm home in Chicago. :) #GenXTravel

A1. My first flight wasn't until I was about 21 (1986). I flew to Florida to depart for a cruise with my family. That's me playing "Future Cruise Director." #GenXTravel

replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @GenxtravelC We just call that Spring where I come from. #GenXtravel

I was an infant, so I remember nothing. First flight I remember was with my brother during winter break to visit grandparents in Florida. I think I was 8. #genxtravel https://t.co/QcgyG4E6OP

A1/2/5: My first flight, trip outside of the country, and passport stamp was Ireland--the start of a year in Europe after college. I sat next to an Irish girl so afraid of flying she went to the back of the plane to have a cigarette several times (when this was legal) #GenXTravel

replying to @llworldtour @llworldtour @GenxtravelC Hey there, Lisa. Good to have you here today! #GenXTravel

#genxtravel A1: first flight - late august 1986. had just turned 11. My uncle took me for a week to Denmark. flew BA from Manchester to Copenhagen. Got some coloured pencils and a book from the stewardess.

I think the 1st time I flew was going to Ft. Lauderdale to visit our grandparents who had moved there from NY. My brother & I eventually flew alone and would be helped by the flt attendants. it was the time when parents could still come to the gate! #genxtravel

replying to @VoyagerVicki @VoyagerVicki It's hard to believe this was legal. #GenXTravel

A2. My first trip outside the US was to Canada (1987) with a group of friends. #GenXTravel

Here's a shot of our flight home from Disney! Our g-parents surprised us by flying back home w/ us. I was SO happy! #genxtravel

My first flight was in 2001 to NYC with my high school orchestra class. We got to see the twin towers (though I didn't know what they were at the time) only months before 9/11. #genxtravel

#GenXTravel A2: see A1. WHile there are internal flights in the UK, I don't very often taken them.

A2. I think my 1st trip to another country was when I was 19 and an intern in NYC went to Barbados with my boyfriend at the time. #genxtravel

A2 First international trip was when I studied abroad in London junior year of college. Many more trips since then. #genxtravel https://t.co/b4OWe7BOxP

I didn't fly out of the country until 2014 when I was attending a wedding in Germany. We also visited France, Italy, and Austria during that trip. It was incredibly stressful, but I learned a lot about myself and travel by going. #travelfirsts #genxtravel

replying to @RTWBarefoot #GenXTravel in fact, i'm not sure I'd be able to tell you what my first internal flight was in the UK. Possibly Liverpool->Belfast in ... 2000?

A3. I consider my first trip abroad to be Egypt because Canada is just an extension of the US. lol. I met up with a friend while there. #GenXTravel

replying to @aandj8804 @aandj8804 Where is this picture? It look quite lovely! #GenXTravel

A3 I traveled with people on my program (I had never met any of them before that day). #genxtravel https://t.co/fCfDZCp3s8

replying to @llworldtour @llworldtour Did you fall in love, with either your boyfriend or travel, during that trip? #genxtravel

replying to @GenXTraveler @GenXTraveler Studied literature at the University of Westminster. Took Renaissance lit, modern British theatre, colonial literature, and an art & history class. #genxtravel

A3/4: My first solo trip was that 1-year trip to Europe too. Definitely a milestone event in my life. #GenXTravel

A2. My first BIG trip abroad was with a friend to backpack Europe for 2 wks in 1996! And thus I was bitten by the travel bug from then on. #genxtravel

A4. Egypt was my first semi-solo big trip. Probably my first solo domestic trip was to Florida for three month in 1997. #GenXTravel

replying to @aandj8804 @aandj8804 @GenXTravel A friend owns an islant in the 1000 Islands. That was the final destination but we stopped in Toronto, Niagara Falls and Kingston along the way. I can't believe I was able to recall Kingston. I guess my memory isn't slipping too much, lol #GenXTravel

A3. First trip to another country was a vacation with my boyfriend. He was a little bit older. ;) #genxtravel

#genxtravel A4: my early solo trips were trips to *meet* someone (penpals). So while my destination wasn't solo, the getting there was.
So, August 1992, to Ireland.

A4. My 1st major solo trip was in my 20s. I was traveling in Europe w/ a friend (coincidentally my ex from last tweet!) for 3 wks. We did half together, then half solo. My 1st solo cities: Bolzano, Innsbruck, Salzburg, & Prague. I hated it at first. Now I LOVE it. #genxtravel

Luckily, my first trip abroad was w/ my husband and German friends, our guides to Europe of sorts. They heled us navigate many of our #travelfirsts like getting a sim card and understanding the differences in cultures. A3 #genxtravel

replying to @GenxtravelC @GenxtravelC A4: My first solo trip was in 1999. I was 19 and travelled to London, Wales, Paris and then nannied in Naples for the summer. I was so green and learnt so much! #GenXTravel

A4 While studying in London, I took a pre-birthday trip to Dublin for 3 days. Couldn't convince anyone to go along, so went alone. #genxtravel https://t.co/tsv6XSyCAf

replying to @GenxtravelC @GenxtravelC A3: Nope. I met up with people along the way, but I don't like to be beholden to other people when I travel! I was born to travel solo! Now I travel with my hubby, who has similar sensibilities! #GenXTravel
