Joining from Florida, I had to wear a hoodie today #InspireToWander #travelingsession

#InspireToWander A 1) Lighthouse on Elbow Cay, Bahamas. Local scrapers protested the build as the ships that wrecked on the shores brought them lots of money after they were salvaged and a Lighthouse would prevent wrecks.

A1 #InspireToWander @inspiretowander funny as today I walked over the @ParksCanada @RideauCanalNHS where you can #skate in the winter and enjoy some of the best boating in the summer on this @UNESCO World Heritage Site! #MyOttawa

A1) The last historic site we visited was Fort Jefferson at Dry Tortugas National Park in Florida. It predates the Civil War and preserves a hard, fascinating history; it’s juxtaposed against the slack and stunning turquoise of the Gulf of Mexico #InspireToWander #NationalParks

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A1 the very last one was the Citadel of Quebec (in a storm storm!) and I learned the regiment mascot is a real goat who comes on parade with them #InspireToWander

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A1: Frank Slide in #Alberta - it’s where a mountain fell on a town. #InspireToWander

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A1. Rouen we went to the site where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake. It’s something I have heard about all my life. It was raining, so it was a bit sad and eerie. #inspiretowander

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A1) One of the last historic sites I sought out and visited was the Gradignan starting point for Pilgrimahe of St James / French Camino starting point. Parts of surviving monestary date to 1200s. #InspiretoWander

replying to @andreapeacock_ @andreapeacock_ @inspiretowander There was an even bigger temple where you could climb to the top! This is the view from the top of it. #InspireToWander

A1- Niagra Falls with a view of the American and Canadian sides #InspireToWander #travelingsession

A1) last historic site we visited was Washington crossing on NJ PA border #InspireToWander

A1. I visited Acambay, an important trade town way before the Spainsh arrived. This is where the inventor of the typhus vaccine was born #inspiretowander https://t.co/4C1rkD1gv3

A2 I LOVE visiting historic sites during my travels. I love discovering the history about the place and imagining what it was like in a different time period.
For example, do you know what giant flat board is? #inspiretowander

#inspiretowander A 2) I love history so I love visiting historic sites whenever we travel

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A1: Cabrillo National Monument in San Diego..Point Loma Lighthouse was in service 1855 and played an integral part in guiding vessels into the San Diego harbor. #InspireToWander

A2 #InspireToWander @inspiretowander we often visit historic sites because the @ParksCanada National Historic Sites staff make the history come to life while experiencing a bygone era 👍

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A3: Hmmm. Well, I was obsessed with Lizzie Mcguire as a little girl so my inner-child freaked out when I saw the Trevi Fountain for the first time (and then I proceeded to freak out by the mass crowds). SO MANY PEOPLE. #InspireToWander

replying to @JustinLaurenXO @JustinLaurenXO A2. I often do visit historical sights when I travel, because I find it interesting to learn from the past and to experience what it may have been like back then. #InspireToWander

#InspiretoWander A2 We always seek out ancient neolithic sites like Brú na Bóinne (Newgrange) in County Meath, Ireland . #travel #history

A2 #InspireToWander @inspiretowander if you are visiting a @ParksCanada National Historic Site this year or a National Park, remember that #ParksCanada offers free entry for all youth 17 years old and under👍
