replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A4 #InspireToWander Pompeii is my favorite place. It’s fascinating, and I love to talk about it. I do presentations on it.

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander Last one was @BethuneNPS. The boardroom is where the March on Washington was planned. I waited two years for the site to reopen, glad I got to visit. #InspiretoWander

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A2: I'm a fly by my seat kind of traveller, if there is a historic site along my way I'll stop. It makes for a nice treat. Plus I find that I end up finding more obscure or less known places when I havent planned it all out. Such as the Devils Slide Bunker in CA #InspireToWander

A4) tazumal ruins in #elsalvador. I was 12 and it was amazing to hear for the first time all of the accomplishments of the mayas #InspireToWander

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A5 for me is #Mexico. With wonderful historic hotspots on every state. #InspiretoWander

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A4) Probably this pictograph panel in the Maze District of Canyonlands National Park. I have some ideas but don't know exactly what it means. Nonetheless it blew me away. #InspireToWander

A6. We prefer to book a tour for historical sites. Tour guides have a way of making old walls come alive with funny stories #inspiretowander

A6 I prefer self-guided tours because then I get to set my own pace, skip sections I'm not interest in and spend longer at those I like, and I can do the tours whenever I like. #inspiretowander

A4 #InspireToWander @inspiretowander the most memorable historic site I have visited and experienced has probably been @ParksCanada @ParksCanada_NS #FortessOfLouisbourg where we stayed for 48h in the Fortress and it was amazing! @VisitNovaScotia @TourismCB

A6) Booking a tour often allows a way to see more of the site than you could if you were only attending as a guest. We would never have found the intimate experience of Eleanor Roosevelt's home without a booked tour at Val Kill Cottage. #InspireToWander @NPS_HydePark

replying to @cairochris @inspiretowander The @BethuneNHS plaque, foyer, and the aforementioned boardroom where the March was planned. Standing literally where history was made. #inspiretowander

replying to @byland_and_sea @byland_and_sea A4: Normandy is the most inspiring place I’ve ever been. We were there on the 70th anniversary of D-day. We visited every historical site/beach/museum there. Incredible! My husband was my own tour guide. He majored in history. I even chatted with survivors! #InspiretoWander

#inspiretowander A 6) I really like taking tours. You usually get to hear stories about people and events that you wouldn't learn about otherwise. Even in places in your own backyard.

@inspiretowander A3:
This is a photo taken from the foot of Lake Leopoldskroner Weiher at Hotel Schloss Leopoldskron. Schloss Leopolskron in Salzburg, Austria was one of the main filming locations for The Sound of Music. #InspireToWander

replying to @rebeccajuliet30 @rebeccajuliet30 @KaraDiDomizio @inspiretowander I always think of the movie Hitch when I hear about Cadiz! #inspiretowander

replying to @JustinLaurenXO @JustinLaurenXO A7. The next historic site on my bucket list will be somewhere in Bavaria because I just bought a plane ticket to Munich. 🙌 #InspireToWander

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A5 #InspiretoWander I consider it to be ITALY. So many historic places there!

A5 #InspireToWander @inspiretowander for me a country and city that is a tremendous historic hotspot and a protected @UNESCO WHS has to be #Havana #Cuba

A5) definitely Italy, just so much history in so many cities, Rome, Florence, pompei, Venice #InspireToWander
