A4. Machu Picchu was definitely one of my most memorable historic sites. It was just so breathtakingly beautiful and in an environment unlike any other I'd ever seen. #InspireToWander

A4: No way that I can pick just one! There are so many places in Europe and Central America that are spectacular - Ancient Ephesus in Turkey, the Acropolis, pretty much everything in Italy, Chichen Itza! Add in Thailand's palaces and temples. WOW! #inspiretowander

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A4:  Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial & Museum - the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp in Poland. Everyone experiences it differently & everyone walks away changed. It was educational, depressing, maddening, but necessary and important to visit. #InspireToWander

A4. When I was 12, I visited the Vatican City on a field trip to Rome. It still stands out in my memory because of the Sistine Chapel and hearing the Pope speak. (before social media) #inspiretowander

A4 The most memorable #historicsite I've visited was the Chota Memorial in @TNVacation. It's the last place the Cherokee National held a meeting before the Trail of Tears.

And it's also where my 12th great-grandfather is buried. Chief Oconastota. #inspiretowander

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A4: I fell in love with Mary King's Close in Edinburgh Scotland. It was affected by the plague, and lives under the streets of Edinburgh. It's like stepping into the past! I visited it 15-20 times during my 2 years in Scotland. Loved it so much. #InspireToWander

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A4) this is hard! i think #Besalú in Catalán for me would be the most memorable. A beautifully preserved medieval village as well as an historic bridge. It took my breath away seeing it and was my first medieval era city I had visited. #InspiretoWander

A4) Most memorable RECENT (we've been to a lot!) historic site we visited would have to @SagamoreHillNHS on Long Island #NY. No photos are allowed inside, but trust us, it's well worth the trip to see Teddy Roosevelt's home (filled to the brim with history!) #InspireToWander
