replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A2: as traveling historians, my hubs and I often arrange our travel around the historic sites we want to visit. Itâs one of our primary traveling motivations. #InspireToWander

replying to @MeToddScott @MeToddScott @JustinLaurenXO @inspiretowander It is! And not many outside of Alberta have even heard about it. Canada has a lot of history, so it's hard for all provinces to learn about all of our history. #InspireToWander

A2 #InspireToWander @inspiretowander we love visiting historic sites because of the culinary experiences that we can enjoy from a bygone era! Like these great @ParksCanada activities!

A4. Machu Picchu was definitely one of my most memorable historic sites. It was just so breathtakingly beautiful and in an environment unlike any other I'd ever seen. #InspireToWander

replying to @wandercrystal @wandercrystal @inspiretowander I hope to go there when I go to Scotland in April! #InspireToWander

replying to @JustinLaurenXO @JustinLaurenXO A4: Machu Picchu. I mean, come on. It needs no introduction. https://t.co/RQuX8xcqMm #InspireToWander

A4 so many! Once been to Rome, Athens, Great Wall of China, Forbidden Palace, Tower of London. apparently I go to many! #InspireToWander

A4: No way that I can pick just one! There are so many places in Europe and Central America that are spectacular - Ancient Ephesus in Turkey, the Acropolis, pretty much everything in Italy, Chichen Itza! Add in Thailand's palaces and temples. WOW! #inspiretowander

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander The Coba ruins in #Mexico was a special place to explore. Got to climb all the way up to the top #InspiretoWander

replying to @JustinLaurenXO @JustinLaurenXO @inspiretowander It's even more beautiful in person! #InspireToWander

I'm sure it is even more spectacular in person than in photos! Great historic site! #InspireToWander https://t.co/M4yXh30W9G

replying to @theanchoredblog @theanchoredblog @inspiretowander Omg so many! đ± Day and night! #InspiretoWander

#inspiretowander A 4) Sailing through the Panama Canal was certainly memorable. Watching the locks go up and down and the mules working to pull the ship. It was even more amazing than I thought it would be.

replying to @JustinLaurenXO @JustinLaurenXO @RoadTripsCoffee I think his "hose" mistake was actually proving his canadianess and he is trying to call you a hoser. ;) #inspiretowander

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A1 the last historic site I went to was Fort Sumter in Charleston, SC! Itâs where the first shots of the US Civil War weâre fired! We even got to help raise the flag! #InspireToWander

replying to @Guy_Theriault @Guy_Theriault @inspiretowander @ParksCanada Yes! We loved our visit to Fort George National Historic Site. They even made you pay "coins" to enter the fort! So cool #parksCanada #InspireToWander

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A4: Â Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial & Museum - the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp in Poland. Everyone experiences it differently & everyone walks away changed. It was educational, depressing, maddening, but necessary and important to visit. #InspireToWander

replying to @rebeccajuliet30 @rebeccajuliet30 Ahhh Florence đđđ So much history there #InspireToWander

A4. When I was 12, I visited the Vatican City on a field trip to Rome. It still stands out in my memory because of the Sistine Chapel and hearing the Pope speak. (before social media) #inspiretowander

replying to @inspiretowander
@inspiretowander A1: I took a trip to the Remick Country Doctor and Museum in #NH to learn how ice was harvested. Here the ice is stored under wood chips to keep it cold into the summer.
Dr. Remick & Crafts provided 200 years of medical care to Tamworth and the surrounding area

replying to @wandercrystal @wandercrystal @MeToddScott @inspiretowander Agreed! That's why I love Twitter chats - I always pick up new info that I wouldn't have known about otherwise! I'm definitely going to look up more on that! #InspireToWander

A4 The most memorable #historicsite I've visited was the Chota Memorial in @TNVacation. It's the last place the Cherokee National held a meeting before the Trail of Tears.
And it's also where my 12th great-grandfather is buried. Chief Oconastota. #inspiretowander

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A4: I fell in love with Mary King's Close in Edinburgh Scotland. It was affected by the plague, and lives under the streets of Edinburgh. It's like stepping into the past! I visited it 15-20 times during my 2 years in Scotland. Loved it so much. #InspireToWander
