Q2: Sometimes shoulder season means the weather might not be the greatest. What are your tips for when Mother Nature doesn’t want to cooperate? #InspireToWander

replying to @JustinLaurenXO @JustinLaurenXO A2 When mother nature doesn't cooperate:

1) travel south.
2) travel west.
3) Repeat until warm and sunny.

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A2: “No such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes.” ⬅️ That’s what my parents told me growing up. Really though, I just pack warm clothes and a rain jacket, and it’s fine! The trade off is worth it. #InspireToWander

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A2: You've just gotta go with it! Not much you can do when the weather doesn't cooperate. Go with the flow, or travel for longer periods of time where you can wait out the weather if that's possible. #InspireToWander

replying to @JustinLaurenXO @JustinLaurenXO A2. A packable rain jacket that then you can roll up into a ball is a game changer! I always carry one with me because it’s light weight and doesn’t take up too much room. #InspireToWander

A2 #InspireToWander Do your research on the climate. I traveled to both Italy & Turkey late October, early November & had great weather most of the time.

A2 Go somewhere else. I tend to plan to spend the shoulder season a little further south cause I know there will still be comfy temps and I can keep wearing flip flops. #noshoes #InspireToWander

A2: always pack a rain jacket! Dressing in layers is helpful too. And get some multi purpose waterproof shoes!#inspiretowander

A2. I think it's about knowing when and where to travel during shoulder season. You dont want to go to Florida in Sept-Oct during hurricane season, and May is the hottest month for Mexico #InspireToWander

A2) You sometimes get to enjoy a rare show! We discovered that what was to be our second day of hiking was cut short by a late spring snow storm at Bryce Canyon NP, the view was lovey and worth it! #InspireToWander #Utah #Bryce

replying to @JustinLaurenXO @JustinLaurenXO A2: move around, a whole country might not have terrible weather. That, or go inside? We try to have an open mind. #InspireToWander

A2 #InspireToWander When I was in Rome, the skies opened up & im not kidding, they had people on the streets selling umbrellas within minutes.

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A2: Leave time to be flexible & be sure to research indoor activities ahead of time. That way you can still enjoy where you are even when the weather is icky! #InspireToWander

replying to @JustinLaurenXO @JustinLaurenXO A2: We try and appreciate the weather, whatever it may be (sometimes easier said than done). Travel during shoulder season means you might get a view that most don't. Our foggy afternoon in Mostar ended up being so mystical! #InspireToWander

replying to @JustinLaurenXO @JustinLaurenXO A2: Do your homework. Look up weather reports and others' experiences for insight. Wear layers and bring whatever gear you think you might need. #InspireToWander

replying to @IBBtravel @IBBtravel A2: Unfortunately, with climate change, even high season doesn’t guarantee good weather. Was in Atacama Desert recently, literally the driest place on Earth, flooded two weeks before our arrival. I say just take your chances! #InspireToWander

A2 #InspireToWander @inspiretowander @JustinLaurenXO when cruising in the shoulder season, I recommend longer cruises that have destinations closer to the equator giving you a better chance of perfect weather. Avoid leaving from Northern ports susceptible of rough/bad weather.

A2: My general advice for travel applies to inclement weather as much as anything else. Manage your expectations and roll with it. It rained all but one day that we were in Italy a couple years ago, and it didn't stop us for a second. https://t.co/Owx00s9DTX #InspireToWander

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A2: Roll with it! We’ve had flooding, the hottest weather on record (with no ac), bitterly cold, but my kids have learned no complaining. We just deal! #InspiretoWander
