A4: A group of my girlfriends went hiking in Sedona. We got completely off the trail & no one could remember the name of the lot we parked in (we were so naive back then). We ran out of water - 115 degrees in July. Several hours later, we finally made it back! #InspireToWander

A4 #inspiretowander I’ve been lucky. Probably the biggest thing I’ve encountered was this Northern Pacific rattlesnake I found on the Historic Columbia River Highway hike near Hood River, OR.

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A4: Luckily none really (knock on wood!) though I did almost fall in a river & twist my ankle while hiking Mt Pinatubo in The Philippines. Thank goodness my other half was there to catch me otherwise it could have been REAL bad! #InspireToWander

A4: We were hiking around the base of the Grand Teton and a spring storm hit. The thunder was so loud I thought we were going to end up experiencing a rock slide #inspiretowander @GrandTetonNPS

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A4) None so far but I always try and stay super hydrated because I am prone to dehydration! I also am clumsy so try to be particularly careful on steep terrain. No cliffside selfies for me! #InspiretoWander

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A4: I've been lost for hours when everyone in the group had dead cellphones. Also been lost on mismarked trails with no phone service. Both times turned into things we laugh about now, but there was no laughing at the time.

put my food in a tree and went to sleep.
woke up to a bear circling my bivy bag.
i was a bear burrito just sitting there.
peed a bit

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A4: Hiked the Iceline Trail in Yoho National Park which was a full day hike and forgot to bring our food. Luckily hubby had some snack bars stashed in his backpack years ago. Best meal ever!😄

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A4: I stayed at a Scout summer camp for two weeks every summer. One time, it rained almost every day. Not just a sprinkle, either; downpours, thunder, lightning, the works. All hikes were canceled, so we set up a tarp and played chess. #InspireToWander
