Q9: We’ve all been there - you get to the airport & your luggage is overweight. Share your tips on how to avoid those pesky overage fees! #InspireToWander

A9: I thankfully have never gone over my baggage weight allowances! But for those out there that flirt with the line, use a weight tool to help you manage it! If you’re one to buy souvenirs, then start your trip with extra room (and fewer pounds) in your bag! #InspireToWander

replying to @OliviaRutt @OliviaRutt A9: I HAD THIS HAPPEN TO ME. Ditch the replaceable items - shampoo, soap, etc & throw on as many clothes as possible. #InspireToWander

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A9 Before I purchased a luggage scale a couple of years ago, I would always do the get-on-the-scale-subtract-the-additional-weight thing. Believe it or not, my luggage has never been overweight. #InspiretoWander

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A9: Never happens anymore. I carry the small hand held weighing scale always and know how heavy the suitcase is always. #InspireToWander

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A9: We were at the Manila airport moving items from one piece of luggage to the next in the check-in line! Kids get the same weight allowance, but their stuff is lighter ;) #InspireToWander
