Q7: A great part of slow travel is getting to know the locals who live there. How do you get to know the people that live where you’re visiting? #InspireToWander
A7. Look for small bars or restaurants where the locals hang out away from the tourist attractions. #inspiretowander
A7: By being friendly! Just asking someone 'how are you' can open up a whole conversation, & I've found that if you say 'I'm not from around here, do you have any suggestions on what I should see/do/eat' people are always happy to chat about their town! #InspireToWander
A7 #inspiretowander Walk neighborhoods, go into local shops, practice the art of conversation.

replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A7: I love talking to my tour guides, waitresses if the restaurant isn’t busy, or I’ve even struck up a conversation with cashiers in gas stations/convenience stores. I try to get local advice whenever I can. #InspiretoWander
replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A7: I try to make an effort to seek out local places to eat, have coffee, drinks, etc instead of hitting up the usual touristy destinations. #InspireToWander
replying to @inspiretowander @inspiretowander A7 I try to ask about their favorite places, restaurants or any tips. And sometimes that makes a long conversation #InspireToWander
