#jachat IDK, #solotravel kinda lost its shine for me when I realized I really liked having decent pics of me in places. Of course, traveling with people doesn't always solve that, because I'm self-conscious about making people stop for camera stuff unless I've planned a shoot.

#jachat A3: i travelled solo across Europe to meet a penpal in 1994 in Yugoslavia. So while my journey was to someone, the journey itself was solo.
I've no freakin idea how i managed it!

I've never really felt vulnerable (except the one time with the one creep in London when I was 17) traveling solo, even walking down deserted streets at night, but I hate being the only person who can keep an eye on my shit.
