A1 My winter travel so far has been on day trips during relatively fair weather. No reason to push our luck, especially during other silly conditions. #PTTravel

A2 I can say I saw snow piled high around Fairbanks, Alaska, and had a moose loping along the road next to our car near Anchorage. So, those winter Bingo squares are filled. #PTTravel

replying to @JKatzaman @JKatzaman Wow! It sounds wonderful. I've never seen a moose in person. Just realised and now I want to see one. Did you drive around yourself in snowy weather? #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie I've driven in snow, although not recommended. When I was 7, my pop decided to visit relatives in the middle of a storm. We rode home in a snow plow after having to abandon our car on a road drifted shut. Snow plow ride: another Bingo square. #PTTravel

A1 I'll settle for moderate as opposed to hot destinations, avoiding excessive humidity. Once or twice during Florida winter visits the "room" tended to be a bit stuffy. #PTTravel

A4 Here’s a winter travel photo from a commute last week. Note the trees not doing so well. #PTTravel

A6 When traveling in winter, have a good idea of what you're getting into. Then if you still really need to go, have snacks in your car and a full tank of gas. Last week a snowstorm led to a many-miles-long traffic jam on I-95 that left people stuck for up to 27 hours. #PTTravel
