mezzarino Haha we might be slightly biased. but sounds like a sterling plan to us. Got to make sure your days on shore are ship shape! #lpchat

RT jayneytravels: Oh and A1 - I can also recommend cruising the South Pacific - so many idyllic islands to stop at and have your own Castaway experience #LPChat https://t.co/ANE1WVZ5PX

replying to @lonelyplanet @lonelyplanet I get anxious about not getting back to the ship on time so prefer to leave that responsibility to someone else where possible! #LPChat

Although we did hire a car and cruise around the Cayman Islands on our own, which was fun. But we regret not joining the tour and missing snorkelling with the Stingrays #nexttime #lpchat

A2 - Remember, not all cruises have busy port stops. There are some with nothing but wildlife all day long...Just you, a guide, a kayak. and the seals. #lpchat

A1. I'd love to sail up to the high Arctic, nothern Norway, Svalbard, Jan Mayen, Greenland, Iceland. Think of the amazing wildlife you'd see #LPChat

replying to @jenniferTandS @jenniferTandS @lonelyplanet Although it's going to be an expensive trip for me because I have to fly from the other side of the world (Singapore) to Antarctica, I would still love to do it some day! #lpchat #cruise

replying to @mezzarino @mezzarino It depends on the port & destination too. Some are easy to wander from the ship and some are best explored on a group tour with transfers! #LPChat

Be sure to plan an excursion that is interesting and exciting for the kids. We tend to go with adventurous activities as our girls love it. It depends on your child. They will be exhausted after it (possibly good thing) so plan carefully. Pack plenty of water! #lpchat https://t.co/PgQ0hkWLlN

A3 Surely the top advantage is seeing so many destinations without repacking your suitcase? You can't beat the convenience of cruising. Disadvantages include not having enough time to just wander or stumble upon somewhere local for dinner. #lpchat

replying to @insidetravellab @insidetravellab Certainly, I cruised with Carnival which is very family-friendly. Few tender transfers to shore which you have to confident with & I'd also recommend reef shoes for soft little feet! #LPChat
