Q4: @lonelyplanet chose Piedmont, #Italy, as their top region for 2019. The region is somewhat of an undiscovered gem with beautiful natural treasures like the Maritime Alps. Where have you been that felt like an incredible secret? Share photos! #LPChat

A4. I absolutely adored Wakayama in Japan. It's filled with stunning mountainous landscapes, with beautiful hiking routes running through them. It felt like such a hidden gem! #lpchat

A4: Aigüestortes National Park in #Catalonia felt like an incredible secret. We didn’t need to go far before we had the sweeping views to ourselves. Dramatic needle-point peaks soar above carpets of black pine and vivid blue lakes. It’s breathtaking. #BestinTravel #lpchat

replying to @lonelyplanet @lonelyplanet A4 #lpchat Abruzzo, Italy, or Marche, Italy are both gems. Both of them are relatively well-toured on the coast, but, oh, the mountains. The mountains are just lovely and practically undiscovered by tourism.

A4 I think some of the restaurants and bars I've been to felt like secrets. How did it take so long to find the KFC bar in Tokyo? https://t.co/V0QGZlqHt8 #lpchat

A4: Anuradhapura in #SriLanka felt like an incredible secret. It’s well known among locals of course, but we saw few fellow tourists. We couldn’t believe that we had these enormous dagobas and crumbling temples all to ourselves. #BestinTravel #lpchat
