Although one tour group I went on to Colombia I selected budget and that included the area đ where the host said you can turn left when you step out but not right lol. We quickly upgraded our package to be in a safer area #pttravel

A2 I've turned up in Paris twice (in my youth) in fairly dodgy areas and without accommodation. First time we found somewhere but was so grim moved on after 1 night. Second time someone tried to mug me at knife point near Gare de L'Est #pttravel
