@kate_frankie A5 driving in big cities seems to always be a huge misstake for us so we just use public transportation
#PTTravel
replying to @Txiki_Tales @Txiki_Tales @RTWBarefoot Do we get blue passports next time? #PTTravel
A5 #pttravel Venice: It was pouring down, and we just couldn't find our hotel, We asked at a restaurant, and one of the waiters grabbed an umbrella and walked us there. Guess where we ate for the rest of the trip?
replying to @NomadKeith @NomadKeith @anywhereweroam I saw the comedian Dara O'Briain do a bit of a standup on that very point, about the casualness of speeding cops in Ireland, and their middle stage of defining speeding as 'ah now don't push it' ! #pttravel
RT @PolarBearJuliet: A5 Romania, but only because of the language/culture difference. The locals were ludicrously helpful - at one point I…
replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot It was the airport bus - I'd already done "the wheels on the bus" mime and the arms-waving plane mime to ask which one to get on #pttravel
I miss the times in my life when I was able to take off into the world for a few months, but hubby and I have built a life of #PTTravel while tending to our FT responsibilities, and it’s amazing! ❤️✈️🌎 https://t.co/moqyQ6hkti
A5 I don't think I've been to that place...yet. I think the confidence of my youth has steadily been replaced by common sense and learning by experience. I'm sure there are places out there tho where I would be a walking mistake! #pttravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie @Txiki_Tales Tbqh as long as it gets me into my country of choice I couldn't give a stuff if they were green with yellow spots #pttravel

replying to @LisaAnnTravel @LisaAnnTravel So glad to hear it! Welcome to the community #PTTravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie @RTWBarefoot I'm sacrificing a few months to retain a purple one for 10 years - what a rebel ;-) #pttravel
replying to @RTWBarefoot @kate_frankie @Txiki_Tales Also, pretty much no-one under the age of about 46 has *ever* had a blue passport anyway, so, meh! #pttravel #BrexitBritain
replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @kate_frankie @Txiki_Tales green with yellow spots. At least it might make some of the more miserable border staff smile #PTTravel

replying to @FE_photograph @FE_photograph @kate_frankie @Txiki_Tales When standing in immigration lines I often peek at other people's passports to see where they're from. Having that colour of passport would mean it's be much easier :p #pttravel
replying to @Txiki_Tales @Txiki_Tales @RTWBarefoot When do you need to apply to keep EU purple one? #PTTravel

@5to9traveller @kate_frankie @RoamingRequired @ankit1989 @CharlesMcCool @russellofearth @Txiki_Tales @PT_Explorer @dipyourtoesin @heywhatsupcourt @ManvsGlobe @SidewalkSafari I know, I can't remember how they resolved it but they had to move their vacation and had to deal with moving the hotel reservation/tickets.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie @Txiki_Tales Given how long admin usually takes, I'd probably say in honesty not until at least 2021. They need to design, create, test, issue them first #pttravel and none of that will happen till we leave the EU. Whenever that turns out to be.
A5 China and some Eastern European countries have baffled me. Some places had limited English & I didn't speak their language so it could get fun #PTTravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A5. I really struggled in Poland for some reason. It didn’t help that terrible weather and extensive building work had turned Gdańsk into a massive mud slick. #PTTravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie There's some places I'm reluctant to travel solo to for that very reason. #pttravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A5: I went to London for the first time last week. Taking the Underground was a learning experience, especially when trying to haul luggage over gaps of varying lengths, and during the chaos of rush hour. I got it down after a few rides, but still. #PTTravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A3 #pttravel - Close 2nd was the day that I was 6 hrs from home, exhausted, & every hotel in IN was booked for a huge event in Indy. After driving a few hours I found a road in a cornfield to pull into to sleep. I woke up to the sounds of the farmer pointing his shotgun at me.
replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @FE_photograph @kate_frankie Maybe you should be able to choose the colour/design like they do with some credit cards - that might stop all the bleedin jingoistic arguments about sovereignty #PTTravel
replying to @PolarBearJuliet
@PolarBearJuliet @kate_frankie @Txiki_Tales It's not even that pink tho is it? I mean pink for me brings up strawberry milkshake, and it's certainly not even that colour!
My first passport was, I believe, white (tho it may have been faded yellow). #pttravel

#pttravel A6: Everyone makes them. I wouldn;t worry about it.
And yes, the locals are laughing at you. But in all honesty they'd be doing it anyway.
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A6. If you’re travelling to see the world then it’s impossible to make a true travel mistake. Bad experiences are as valuable as good experiences in shaping a balanced and mature worldview. #PTTravel
