A2 There are big Christmas displays within a day trip of here along with ski slopes north and west. Then there's always the inadvertent tobogganing on the beltways around Baltimore and Washington. #PTTravel

A2 #PTTravel We are about an hour from the Cascade Mountains. The Cascades have some of the tallest peaks in the US including Mt. Rainier, Mt Hood and Mt. Shasta. If you live here, you are typically an hour or two away from winter sports no matter where you live in the region.

You may be able to do it on the grassy hills nearby, of which there are legion, if they freeze enough.
