A4 the nice thing about where we live in Horsham is the ridiculous number of great eateries while the weather is horrid, a pub lunch or dinner with a roaring fire in an authentic pub is hard to beat - @thegreetsinn in our village has great food and the atmosphere #PTTravel
A4 #PTTravel I forget, Portland has some of the finest donuts to go with that morning coffee. @VoodooDoughnut @BlueStarDonuts They are both spreading out into other cities.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie @RTWBarefoot @LadiesWTravel #pttravel I'm dreading it! 'Someone' gave my hiking boots to the charity shop, on the grounds that 'I never use them'!
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie It does pretty good beer, and cheaply. #pttravel For me it's the availability of real ale rather than the ambiance.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie Yeah, we have been to a couple of snowy places - Copenhagen was a good weekend. Luxembourg and Basel has no snow but great cold markets. We are going to Neuschwanstein in February with express hope there will be snow! #PTTravel
replying to @LadiesWTravel @LadiesWTravel #pttravel I think I've got the village right! There's Great and Little Durnford and three Woodfords in that area, and I tend to get them confused! 😃

A4 I love @HadriansTipi and generally going to @StackNewcastle. @fenwicknew window for a festive story & also @quilliambros for a great indy tea or coffee.
That's Newcastle-Upon-Tyne

A6 I would say Devils Dyke, in the snow you would see the hills to the North and the sea down at Brighton - down the A23, A27 then it is signposted from there...#PTTravel
A5 #pttravel The picture I posted previously; Old Sarum is right by the A345, and buses go right past it. Not sure if English Heritage charge to use the car park, though.
replying to @Dsoares_MiddHS @Dsoares_MiddHS @RTWBarefoot I fell in love with them after trying them in Lisbon! #PTtravel
A5 There are many castles that can be reached by car or by foot. And of course the skyscrapers in Frankfurt #pttravel
replying to @BPackersGuide @BPackersGuide Am excited for Germany's castles in the snow in Feb....😁 #PTTravel
A5 #pttravel This is a picture I found online of the viewpoint along US 30 near where I live.
You can see Mt. Saint Helens in the background. https://t.co/qtQbNBygBS

A5 The Angel of the North shown in one of the photos has a bus stop next to it. The beach is Tynemouth Longsands and has a metro nearby. The hills are harder to get to I guess. Maybe rent a car if you're hiking.
The views won't disappoint!
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A5: Well, without hiking awhile to a few favorite mountain tops, there are a few bar/restaurants one can search out sitting along shorelines or atop buildings in downtown Seattle that are beyond the normal touristic space needle type places. #pttravel
