Flights and accommodations are $$, but I search skyscanner and google flights. I have bought error fares and waited to see if they stick. I use miles and points when I can for free stuff. I just went to Seattle for $100 using miles one way. #PTTravel https://t.co/1ADo4UwiMp

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A5. Lodging costs! I’ve couchsurfed and done hostels but sometimes you just want to come back after a long day and have some privacy. Usually I use points from my travel card as a way to pay for it.

replying to @char_x0 @char_x0 @kate_frankie Hey Char! 😊 Good point about booking directly with hotels rather than going through aggregator sites. Sometimes just calling up the front desk to ask what's available works! Made some decent savings by doing that. 🙏🏽 #PTTRAVEL

A5 I'm so good at spending very little while I'm working at home. I cook and prep lunches, fruit etc for snacks. Bulk buying bigger amounts to save.
I am trying to not buy coffees or go out for meals. I will meet friends every few weeks and I budget for that

A6 #PTtravel For saving, most everything is fair game. The two thing I will spend on are souvenirs I really want or an attraction I specifically came to see.

A6 #pttravel Only use airport parking if there isn't a convenient train or coach; look for cruises departing UK ports. Look for budget flights if short-haul. (except Ryanair ... I hope I'm never that hard up! 😀) Look at packages, too ... some are pretty good quality.

A6 I don't get married to brand names. I've heard people complain as much about big-time hotels as lesser-known accommodations. If possible, check reviews in advance. Be sure motels don't have tiny valet parking for roaches. #PTTravel

A6- Remember, time is a commodity. I spend a little more on hotels that are close to the things that I want to do so that I don't have to spend my time commuting #PTtravel #travelingsession
