replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A5 #pttravel Travel does require budgeting but it is possible on lower incomes. People from developing countries can travel, however, there is usually a more extensive visa process. In addition, not all travel is international! I think it's good to travel, near or far!

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel Regarding stereotypes, some people see them as negative, but after living in China 2 years, and all the reflecting that comes with that, I learned being British means being funny (haha kind) Also, watch comedians for a handle on positive stereotypes

A5 #pttravel Where do people like this get their idea from? I'm not rich, but I travel a lot. I'm always, though, combing the web or the press for 'sweet deals'

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #PTTravel a5 False. Travelling doesn't have to mean flying for thousands of miles, it can be visiting part of your home country that you have never visited before and can be done as cheaply as you want. Even developing nations its the same. I certainly aint rich!

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A5 I hear this sometimes even on travel chats. 😂 Some feel they are the only nationality with the right to travel. Not naming them. 😝 Travel is happening whether for work or leisure. India has 135 airports to cater to the travelling masses. #pttravel

replying to @BudgetBreakBlog @BudgetBreakBlog @kate_frankie A5: I budgeted on hostels instead of hotels to see #Hawaii, and cooked a few meals with other guests to save money, but I wouldn't budget on transport for long distances, or if I was travelling with my daughter. Booked a UK festival this year and am glamping; pricey #pttravel

#pttravel A5: Over the last year I have realised that it's more expensive for me to stay at home than it is to travel. This is because I find it so easy just to pop down the road and buy stuff. I don't budget.

Assuming everyone does this, this implies that anyone can travel.

A5 #PTTravel
I'm by no means rich but I do have a little money. My parents don't pay and haven't paid for my trips. At 21, I saved for almost a year to do my big trip around the world. I'm really glad I did it and happy to spend my money on travel.

replying to @findinganeish @kate_frankie A5. In all seriousness, I found myself unemployed after graduation and started walking because I couldn’t afford the bus — to the nearest town, then the next. I volunteered abroad, dog-sat for foreign friends, and leaped on every deal I could find. It can be done. #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A5: deffo false. Depends on how you want ur travels to be. If luxury then get to saving&having that money! But you have to ‘cut your coat according to your size.’ Also the notion thay travel is ALWAYS abroad is also so wrong. Travel within your country can be awesome. #pttravel

The older I get the more interested I am in emigrating. Make of that what you will.

A5 #pttravel whatever amount of money you have you can travel, depends what you are expecting to get from your travels- if you are expecting 5 star you either have to win the lottery or go away less. And there ware lots of Chilean and Argentinian travellers when I was in Bolivia

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A6 #pttravel although I normally don't go along with "travel will change your life" quotes, I think it can put your life into perspective. You might learn to appreciate your home more or realize you are better suited in a different culture or country.
