I really, really hate the ātravel is about the journey, not the destinationā cliche. You can stay on the plane all day if you like, Iām getting the hell off. #PTTravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2: Totally false. I always try and learn a few phrases in the language to get by and at the end of the day you will get there, we are all human after all. Alternatively go to language school in the country. Iām currently in Spanish school in Ecuador to do just tht #PTTravel

A1- I get annoyed by people who refuse to travel and experience something new, especially when they come with excuses like "It's too expensive, I can't speak the language, they won't have any food I like...." #PTtravel #travelingsession
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2. Itās easy enough to make the physical journey to a country if you canāt speak the language but itās much harder to transition psychologically. Even learning the basics can help with that though. #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A3. I mean, thereās statistical and anecdotal evidence to back many of these generalisations up, but for every walking stereotype youāll meet another who bucks the trend ā usually a fellow traveller. #PTTravel
A2- Definitely not true, but locals seem to really appreciate it when you learn a phrase or 2 #PTtravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A4. My parents were a little hesitant when I told them I was going to Russia, but other than that Iāve faced little resistance. Iām hardly reckless though, so Iāve always felt pretty secure. #PTTravel
