replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A6: I say true - it's helped me appreciate some things and the opposite to others. Kenya opened my eyes to how fast-paced and tense us Brits are and since coming back "hakuna matata" has been my mantra (and it makes life a lot better) #pttravel

#pttravel A6: I'm not sure for me personally, since i've always been wired up to travel.

The older I get the more interested I am in emigrating. Make of that what you will.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A6 #pttravel although I normally don't go along with "travel will change your life" quotes, I think it can put your life into perspective. You might learn to appreciate your home more or realize you are better suited in a different culture or country.

A6. We did a four month road trip last summer to Alaska that made me realize how much cool stuff there is to see in my own country. I could drive across it for months and months! #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A6. This for me is the whole point of travel. If we all saw first-hand how accessible the world is, how hospitable people can be, and how closely our lives are intertwined, I genuinely believe the world would be a better place. #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A6: It is true, I never feel the same as I was before (who was that person? LoL) Social mores differ, sometimes it is a difficult reentry into the US for me. #pttravel

A6 #pttravel Well, yes! After visiting Italy, for instance, I like to sit down & enjoy my coffee, instead of rushing down the street with it. After experiencing the Spanish siesta, I like to 'take ten minutes' after lunch ... etc,

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A6: True. We learn so much about ourselves whilst travelling, even if it's not immediately apparent. Because of some things I did whilst in other countries, I learned to be more confident in the UK. And I am a much better problem solver now than 20yr old me. #pttravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A6 Yes, true. My country has a lot of problems but there are good things happening too. And I appreciate coming back home these days mainly coz India is so affordable from most places that I visit. 😂 #pttravel
