A4 I just remembered to add now that an airline has lost my luggage more than once. Last time was a work trip to Dubai. It's the reason I pack a suit in my carry on for work trips

#pttravel I nearly lost my coat in Chile. This would have been a problem as my passport and wallet were in it. I got off a coach, and ... it didn't.
Fortunately I was only one stop from the terminus so it all worked out well in the end,

A4. A really nice top in #Malawi. Accidentally tipped it into the waste water pit in the camp I was staying in, + wasn't allowed to rescue it. And there's a bikini hanging out to dry in #Tobago that might still be there. #pttravel

I lost some of my favorite hair barrettes in the Carolinas. And some $100 headphone in Boston. I called the hotel to get them to check my room for me, but no one ever found anything. Glad I haven't lost anything expensive (yet!)! #pttravel

But tbh I can do without pretty much anything It'd just be annoying. Exception is if I lost/broke my glasses AND my contact lenses because my eye sight is soo bad I'd be food. #PTTravel

A5. I suppose dropping my phone in the sea on a remote island in Fiji fills this answer. So I had to carry a bag of rice containing the wet phone all the way from Fiji to the Isle of Wight to arrange a replacement #pttravel
