replying to @findinganeish It’s a May Day weekend here in the U.K. and I’ve been using it to explore Perthshire. #PTTravel
replying to @NomadKeith @NomadKeith @findinganeish @kate_frankie I've just got back to Leeds from Hebden Bridge. This is a picture of the Rochdale Canal in Hebden Bridge. #PTTravel
A1 #PTTravel I was lucky. I got to the entrance with over 100 people in line. I walked around to take a look at the outside, came back & the line was down to about 20.
replying to @findinganeish @findinganeish Yes, I've been a couple of times. This is a photo from a few years ago. Beautiful place. I love architecture so it was a great landmark to visit #PTTravel
replying to @findinganeish @findinganeish @kate_frankie We're here from sunny BC #pttravel

A2- We used to go to the Sendai Jazz Festival in Japan, but then Sendai got wiped out by a tsunami. Glad to hear that they have rebuilt #pttravel #travelingsession
replying to @findinganeish @findinganeish A2. I (Cailtin) visited Christchurch, NZ before the earthquake. We also found out hiking last week, one of our favourite BC waterfalls eroded to an irregular shape over the winter #pttravel
replying to @Morology @Morology @findinganeish It does damage the tourist attraction, such as the collapse of the Azure Window in Malta #pttravel
replying to @findinganeish A2. Not that I can think of, though I’ve visited plenty of replacements. #PTTravel
#PalmDesert was an interesting stop on our road trip travel in #California . https://t.co/vvzB22gtaN #PTTravel #TBIN
replying to @findinganeish A3. I’ve got used to attractions being under layers of scaffolding when I visit so I’ve learned never to be disappointed if they’re not picture perfect — or even visible. #PTTravel
replying to @BudgetBreakBlog @BudgetBreakBlog @Morology @findinganeish #pttravel Also, 'London Bridge' on Australia's Great Ocean Road. An arch collapsed in 1990, making it the London Arch
replying to @findinganeish @findinganeish A3 #PTTravel No it wouldn't stop me visiting and I would visit the ruins. I visited Bandar Aceh in Sumatra when it was still in ruins 6 months after the Tsunami...Much of the city was in ruins but the one thing that was untouched was the landmark Mosque in the city centre.
A3. A lot of places I have visited are to a large extent in ruins, e.g., Petra. #pttravel
replying to @findinganeish @findinganeish As you probably know La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona has been under construction since the 1880s with no end in sight. #PTTravel
A4- The Colosseum in Rome and the ruins at the top of the Acropolis in Athens #pttravel #travelingsession
replying to @findinganeish A4. I’m not sure that any are. I like that the Colosseum, the Parthenon and even the Twin Towers were never rebuilt as before. Buildings are often as powerful in their absence as they were in their presence. #PTTravel
replying to @Travel_Session @Travel_Session Both, as well as other urban icons, are being negatively impacted by pollution as we speak. #PTTravel
