A1 #PTTravel Jordan! I have never felt so 'at home' anywhere.

A1: Probably Paris. Even after dreaming of going there for so long, it totally lived up to the hype and even exceeded all expectations from the moment we stepped out of the RER station at Place Saint-Michel. #pttravel

replying to @JKatzaman @JKatzaman I have to say I was worried about the hype. It was incredible to stand there in person looking out into that space and those rock formations. The colour and actually the feeling of leaving the world behind even with many tourists around. Great place #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1 I think there are places you hear about for years & when you go they don’t always live up to expectation. This was not the case for Machu Picchu. It was the most incredible feeling seeing it for the first time in person. First impressions were of amazement #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel We felt that right from the off. Especially when the guide said at the outset 'Think of me as your son!' An extremely nice man; we're still in contact with him.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2 I didn’t get a good first impression of Berlin (I think we stayed in the wrong part) or Cambodia. and first impressions count as they’re the two places I wouldn’t return to #PTTravel

replying to @Pinkzenjoy @Pinkzenjoy Plastic stools and cups of beer hoi are what I fondly remember backpacking around in my early 20s. South East Asia has this ease. It's an immediate welcome I think. I always find travel there a pleasure #PTTravel

A2 #PTTravel Kenya! Crowded airport, pushy would-be porters and at the hotel they wouldn't let us out except in an organised group, or accompanied by one of their askaris. But, when we got into the bush on our safari! What a contrast!

replying to @melisliving @melisliving I'm a mean host because I love tricky questions. I like seeing different answers from our diverse community. It's great getting different perspectives. I agree completely with Rome. For me, is possibly my favourite European city #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2 Marrakesh. Our driver wasn’t great & then hotel horridly unfriendly. Set the tone for the trip & had terrible tour guides until the last day. So I never want to go back to Morocco which may/may not be fair 🤷‍♀️ #PTTravel

A1 San Juan Island gave us the best first impression. We arrived on the ferry and it was a beautiful day, so were all the others of the 5 we stayed there. It didn't take long to start seeing wildlife and the whole island has a very relaxed vibe #pttravel

replying to @melisliving @melisliving @kate_frankie Ooh interesting. Berlin grew on me - the museums won me over. Cambodia I adored & would go back to. It’s interesting how experiences can vary so greatly between travelers! #PTTravel

A2: My first experience in the Caribbean was not a good one. I got lost in Nassau and wandered into a not great part of the city. Nothing happened, but it was my first time outside the US or Canada and it just underscored the travel anxiety I was already struggling with.#PTTravel
