What to Pack

RT @StuartMHurlbut: @RTWBarefoot A2 I totally agree - as long as I have a change of clothes, nothing is essential #PTTravel

@BudgetBreakBlog @kate_frankie Literally life savers. And to sleep, turn them ON but leave unplugged.
Quiet Bliss #PTTravel
A2 Our essentials are probably similar to everyone else's, phones, camera's, money, passports, tablets or laptops depending how long the trip is. We can get all this in our carryon. For short trips we tend to go hand luggage only, city breaks and the like. #PTTravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1. I always pack too much. More clothes than there are days of the trip. I always pack way too much camera gear too. #PTTravel
replying to @aandj8804 @aandj8804 @kate_frankie It's just folding them into tiny squares and storing vertically so that you can see all your clothes and easier to access too. 😀 #PTTravel

@kate_frankie Definitely just enough! I travel only with a carry-on so I'm only packing the essentials. Tomorrow I'm off to Stockholm with just a handbag!

A2. Phone and charger, change of underwear, a spare top, swimwear, journal and pen, toothbrush and toothpaste, sunblock and sunglasses, waterproof jacket. Maybe a book to read on the journey and a refillable water bottle. That's about it. #pttravel
#PTTravel Hi from Southern California on a relaxing #SundayMorning . Perfect Timing because I am packing for my next adventure. Does anyone else struggle with what shoes to pack? @kate_frankie
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie Whether I go for a weekend (obvs I over pack) or a week. I pack the same amount 😂 #pttravel
replying to @Pinkzenjoy @Pinkzenjoy @vickyinglis13 @kate_frankie That’s so cool, I need to learn this! #PTTravel
replying to @DawnCorleone @DawnCorleone @kate_frankie One way we are lucky in USA - due to the size of this country, many/most trips dont need a passport. But key essential! #PTTravel
replying to @JR_justJR @JR_justJR Noise cancelling headphones are bliss! I'll add those plus adaptor. I've noticed some hotels have usb charging points in rooms now. No idea why it's taken so long! #PTTravel

replying to @Pinkzenjoy @Pinkzenjoy @kate_frankie Packing cubes are the best! And I'm watching konmari on TV right now 😂😂😂 #PTTravel
replying to @tspadventure @tspadventure Wow! A handbag. Now there's a challenge #PTTravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2: Love bringing a mini powerbar so everything can get plugged in because you know there's only going to be one outlet in the room! #pttravel
replying to @terryanzur @terryanzur @kate_frankie #pttravel Depends where I'm going ... but, if flying, I always wear the heaviest ones to travel in.

@FE_photograph Wait. What? You are packing shoes? LOL #PTTravel
(OK, sometimes, but 90% its just sneakers & hiking boots)
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2. Without my camera gear, I can probably pack for a week (somewhere non rainy) in hand luggage. Essentials are a phone charger, a book (I barely ever pick up) and some medicines (just in case). And clothes obviously. #PTTravel
replying to @terryanzur @terryanzur @kate_frankie I generally only take one pair of footwear, and they be the ones I'm wearing at the time. #pttravel [90% of the time it's a pair of sandals!]
replying to @terryanzur @terryanzur I do trainers for walking and a pair of pumps that I can wear with most outfits. That usually covers everything #PTTravel
replying to @karina_escaping @karina_escaping @kate_frankie I so feel this. I even make note of what the temperatures are and what the plan is for the day, so I can pretend to be minimalist. #Pttravel
replying to @Shootfromttrip @Shootfromttrip @kate_frankie My overnight bag always has band-aids, hydrogen peroxide, antibacterial ointment, imodium, exlax, and tylenol. Dont need to look. I know all that is in there every trip. #Pttravel
replying to @JR_justJR @JR_justJR smart shoes for the customer visits and hiking boots or deck shoes for exploring/beach #PTTravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2 Clothes, phone, passport, basic toiletries, powerbank, chargers, some eats, and a water bottle. I can fit them in carry on but I don't. I prefer checking it in and travelling light on the flight. #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2: If my travel is less than 10 days or somewhere with laundry facilities, I go with hand luggage. but I carry a lot of camera / computer gear, so generally check a bag in. I use packing cubes to make sure I can organise things. #PTTravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie We’re here in Spain as a family of four for two weeks. Every thing came as hand luggage (10kg) for us all #pttravel
replying to @JR_justJR @JR_justJR @kate_frankie I figure it's easier than going to an overseas pharmacist and trying to figure out the equivalent medicines! #PTTravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie Our most recent ‘lifesaver’ was an emergency dental kit! First day on @SeabournCruise last year saw Linda breaking a tooth, exposing nerve. Quick stop off at cabin for ‘operation’ and good as new for remaining 7 days. Never leave on a trip without one now #pttravel
#pttravel A3: eh, you've seen this before. Although granted it's pretty much falling apart now so I'm probably soon going to retire it.

I mean, it's a risk to know that if my sandals break, I have to be barefoot by default, but it certainly makes my pack lighter!
