What to Pack

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A4: We did three weeks in Southeast Asia with a carry-on. But I think any length of trip is do-able because you can always do laundry! As long as the climate isn't changing too much, you can pack for 2 days, 2 weeks or 2 months in a carry-on! #pttravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A5: I have a super basic skincare regime - water-gel moisturiser, eyeliner done! I use a shampoo bar and stick deodorant to save room. The rest is medication and my sonic toothbrush ;-) #PTTravel

A6 #PTTravel Sit down & ask yourself what do you need to get by. Do you really need all those shoes for example. In Vietnam I had one pair. How many things do you need to pack vs how many can you just buy along the way as you need them. This is where making a list can help.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A6: Use packing cubes. Create versatile / reusable outfits. No, you don't need 4 outfits a day. And if you don't wear it on one trip, why would you pack it on the next?! Pack smart ;-) #PTTravel

I actually find peeps with small backpacks more irritating than trolley cases as they often seem to forget they have it and then step backwards or turn #PTTravel

A6 Use packing cubes - they're fantastic for organising your luggage. Cut down on the liquids, there are loads of options now to help you do this, solid shampoo for example. Pack clothes that are good for multiple scenarios so you need less outfits. #PTTravel

RTWBarefoot

replying to @NomadKeith @NomadKeith #pttravel well that's partly why I take only carry-on. My travel style is to be constantly moving so the less I have to carry the more efficient my travels are.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A6 bring clothes you already wear day to day so you're comfortable and use all of them! Leave the flashy or expensive clothes and jewelry at home.

Research what you'll need. For example a travel adapter or maybe a long dress or skirt for a monastery. #pttravel

A5. I try to avoid buying travel-size products. It's just too much single-use plastic packaging for the so-called convenience. Decant products from home into reusable travel bottles, use bar soap and shampoo, or check-in luggage. #pttravel

The hard part is if you're trying to pack for more than one climate. Then it gets tough to fit it all in a carry-on.
