replying to @tspadventure @tspadventure It's what I do more now. Before, esp backpacking, it was just budget. As cheap as possible sometimes. Now, I can stretch my budget more but LOVE a bargain #PTTravel

A1 I guess a concrete example would be my apartment in Ekaterinburg - far cheaper than a cheap hotel but I had my own sauna and jacuzzi #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2 #pttravel rooms offer the best upgrades for us, going from a tent to a cabin or a dorm room to a private room makes for a good night's rest and then we can truly enjoy our trip

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1. Coffee and cake, probably. I don’t have particularly extravagant tastes. #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2 Good question! I guess it depends on the length of time. I'd LOVE an upgrade on a long-haul flight. First class for 15+ hours? Yes, please! #PTTravel

A2- I'm a hotel snob, so I'd definitely take a room upgrade. Plus that's where you a good portion of your trip even if it's just for sleeping #pttravel #travelingsession

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2. I’ve never had an upgrade in my life, but then I’ve never asked for one. After a few nights spent sharing a dorm room with chronic snorers fhough, I wouldn’t refuse a single room. #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A3 #pttravel having lunch at Canada's highest restaurant in Golden, BC was great value for money at about $40 CAD pp. The lunch was fantastic, drinks were included and the views were even better. It felt very luxurious.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2) It depends...for me it's about the experience. So,it might be the room/hotel or it might be the activity. I have sometimes upgraded to very expensive rooms for a night just for the experience. #PTTravel (My picture - Lake Palace, Udaipur...)
