Getting organised!

replying to @allieomoore @allieomoore Mood and energy levels are important. I've started to consider that more #PTTravel
replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot Egypt was a close call, did no research arrived in Cairo thankfully visa on arrival, but had to change currency etc. British passport used to make this all too easy. #pttravel
replying to @JKatzaman @JKatzaman Where did you travel? That sounds like a good balance #PTTravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1: I have what you call a loose itinerary of must dos/sees for me and then the rest just flows. I like to allow for injections of spontaneity that may crop up #pttravel
replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot Also today, I had mistyped my passport number on my evisa application #pttravel
replying to @StromfieldAdvs @StromfieldAdvs @kate_frankie We have to be very strategic, don’t we! 😀 #pttravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie Planning is one of the best and also the hardest part of a trip! I discover so many places but then need to make difficult choices as I only have a limited number of days. I then book everything: hostels, transports and excursions. And I'm ready to go! #PTTravel
replying to @GlamGlitzGloss @GlamGlitzGloss When I've done big trips, I do organise as much as possible actually. Usually 6 months to a year to plan, book and prepare #PTTravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1. For some reasons I insist on making plans that I have neither the will or ability to keep to. By day two my itinerary is in tatters. #PTTravel
replying to @JordanJaunt @JordanJaunt @RTWBarefoot Yeah, we are normally quite good but didn't read about getting into Cape Verde for some reason! they took cards........:) :) #pttravel
replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @StromfieldAdvs @kate_frankie Yeah arriving tired, hungry jetlagged and homeless always sucks #pttravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1 organise main things I want to see, but nothing better than just winging it and seeing cities by foot (like I’m doing in Paris right now 😅) #PTTravel
replying to @strayidler @strayidler @kate_frankie Yeah, flights are up and down price wise but hotels definitely cheaper in advance! #pttravel
RT @DawnCorleone: @kate_frankie A1. Organized, book ahead. I only have limited time off work for vacations. #pttravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2 work! If I’m busy then it’s hard to plan. Oh and weather! #PTTravel
replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot Meh, Malawi is nice, got told off then stamped in and told to take more care #pttravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie :s but you are saving for a house right? #pttravel

@kate_frankie #pttravel A2: the toughest thing?
it's a toss-up between fearing the loss of flexibility, and the fact I hate commitment.
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie I booked my big May trip 5 months in advance, and I have spread the cost across each month since and have spent a lot of time researching where to stay and what to do so as to make the most of it as I'm unlikely to do this particular trip again #pttravel
replying to @DawnCorleone @DawnCorleone That's true. I need to get strategic again! Travel has been pretty disrupted recently for work so a lot of fire fighting. I will feel better when I get a trip in for me #PTTravel
That's 2 questions. Q2a. Organising is like grown-upping, I see the point but not much fun.
Q2b. Um. If it was easier I would never ever be home

A2 #PTTravel The really tough thing is being DISorganised! You soon learn not to be e.g. I've only slept in my underpants once because my PJs were at the bottom of the case. Since, I've always packed them near the top.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2 Time! With both of us in full time jobs and a 50 hour week it does sometimes feel we are either working or planning! But then otherwise we are travelling so all is good :) #pttravel another hour in the day would be great!
replying to @RTWBarefoot @kate_frankie #pttravel A2: what would make it easier? A new brain.
replying to @JordanJaunt @JordanJaunt I do part a and b sometimes. I make the rules 😉 #PTTravel

@kate_frankie A2: The toughest thing is actually that I need to. I'd be much happier to be more carefree and to not have the time constraint.

replying to @miserablefacet1 @miserablefacet1 Ahhh, I miss Wales and the amazing castles! #pttravel
