Q1 Have you ever taken a canal or river cruise or been boating anywhere that isn't the ocean? What was the experience like and would you recommend?

A1 We've never taken a river cruise holiday but we've done plenty of short boat trips, plus an overnight ferry a couple of times to Zeebrugge and Caen. This was a day trip around Phang Nga Bay in Thailand in 2009. #pttravel

A1 #pttravel Nothing longer than a day trip. This was a sailing down the river from downtown Istanbul to the Bosporus Bridge and back.

@kate_frankie A1. #PTTravel : I caught a boat in some lost village near Siem Reap (Cambodia) and then we went to the Tonlé Sap lake.
This is actually a picture the only other boat that was on the lake on that day, the travelers on it were from the Netherlands or Belgium.

We have boated/rafted down rivers in #CostaRica multiple times to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Highly recommended.
