replying to @NomadKeith @NomadKeith @kate_frankie @findinganeish lol. #pttravel In 10 miles I can be in the Peak District. I've not gone that far yet since lockdown (*) but it's also on my list to venture towards.

(* mainly because I'd have to get back. The whole round trip would be about an 18 mile walk)

replying to @Stromfieldadvs @Stromfieldadvs This is something I have thought of so I am thinking of small ways at home to change - reduce plastic use - soap bars, bamboo toothbrush, refillables but it just feels futile given how much impact flying has *sigh* but I’ll keep it up cos its something. #pttravel

replying to @NomadKeith @NomadKeith @Txiki_Tales I only bought a car last September...it's the first car I've owned since 2004. So, my mileage in the last decade will only be a couple of thousand miles. Now, I'm using it for work that will change...#PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel litter is ugly, tho i wish there were also more places to *put* litter in the more well-used tourist sites.

Less glass would be nice.

As an environmentalist & Green Party member, I have so much issue about pollution lol.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2: Littering - once had a complete shout at my cousin who wanted to throw something on the ground when literally there was a bin before us! It makes zero sense to me. Especially anything plastic that won’t degrade #pttravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie Good evening! Just arrived in my new home, near Braemar, after moving this afternoon. A2 I hate litter and also people who don't clean up after their dogs (although that's not necessarily a travel thing). I also detest using taxis and will only do so as a very last resort. And blokes with their shirts off - I'm just ranting about anything now #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel A2: controversial but ... and related to 'respect' in A1, and something I suspect The Virus may well cut down on in the long term:

Going abroad purely to get drunk and mix with people 'just like you'; treating a foreign town like your own town.
