replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel surviving. I went for a 4 mile jog this morning tho.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie Evening everyone. Still exploring locally (and a little further afield) for now - hoping our future plans will still go ahead. #pttravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel Fine! Back volunteering at Stonehenge; we're open, but with restrictions.

Q1 Have you or will you travel outside of your home region/ country after lockdown ends and why?

replying to @NomadKeith @NomadKeith Looking forward to hearing more. Maybe a good answer to q6? #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie @RooLovesTravel @Txiki_Tales @5to9traveller @BPackersGuide @DawnCorleone @aok_NW @findinganeish @Stromfieldadvs @dipyourtoesin #pttravel It reminds me a bit of the 'billy tea' we used to brew when I was working in the woods way back when. I only made it because my cafetiere is in the dishwasher! 😆

A1 It depends. The end of the lockdown does not necessarily mean the end of the pandemic. I'd say yes as long as it is safe to do so #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1. Yes. I am so ready. I was supposed to be in London, Yorkshire, and Paris this month. That will be my first post-pandemic trip. #pttravel

A1 #pttravel I haven’t been anywhere since this started. I’d like to resume travel once this is over.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel A1: it's less likely, but for finance reasons not for virus reasons.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie Doing ok, went to family cabin for mom's bday, now back wandering the garden talking to my tomato plants. #pttravel

replying to @DawnCorleone @DawnCorleone @kate_frankie How will you get there? Train? Plane? #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1: Yes. Have to get the hell out of this place. #pttravel

A1 #PTTravel We have an overseas trip booked for September; I'm forbidden to say where lest I jinx it. May drive up to Leeds to see our daughter in the meantime; depends on when/whether she's working.

A1 We're supposed to be taking the Eurotunnel to one of our favourite family places in France at the end of next month. Will it happen? Not sure right now but I am still hoping. #PTTravel

RT @Morology: @kate_frankie A1: Yes. Have to get the hell out of this place. #pttravel

replying to @BPackersGuide @BPackersGuide What would indicate the end of the pandemic for you? Its a very interesting topic and I think it can be hard to find facts or know who/what to trust #PTTravel

replying to @DawnCorleone @DawnCorleone Was it rebooked for different dates or did you cancel and get a refund? #PTTravel

RT @aok_NW: A1 #pttravel I haven’t been anywhere since this started. I’d like to resume travel once this is over.

RT @RTWBarefoot: @kate_frankie #pttravel A1: it's less likely, but for finance reasons not for virus reasons.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie @BPackersGuide The end for me probably would be taking a proven vaccine. #pttravel

replying to @BPackersGuide @BPackersGuide @kate_frankie Plane to London, train to Yorkshire, Eurostar to Paris from London eventually. #pttravel

Instantly! I have canceled multiple trips and cruises this year - cant wait to get flying and traveling internationally again.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie @BPackersGuide #pttravel A difficult one, for sure! Nobody's going to come out and say you can go back to hugs and handshakes, or stop stepping into the hedge when you see someone coming towards you.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie I hadn’t booked yet. I usually book my European summer holidays in April. I never got the chance this year. But at least I didn’t have to deal with the hassle of rebooking/refund. #pttravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie This is quite difficult. I mean one day there will be a vaccine and infection rates will be super low and "perfectly" traceable. Besides the vaccine this already is the case in some places. Knowledge and trust are difficult because there are many unknown variables #PTTravel

A1- We'll probably stay local until everything settles down. I want to make sure different countries and travel companies are in agreement on how they will handle things before I go too far

replying to @aok_NW @aok_NW @kate_frankie @BPackersGuide #pttravel They were speculating it might be ready by the autumn?

replying to @NomadKeith @NomadKeith @kate_frankie @BPackersGuide I’ve heard Oxford University has a vaccine with a lot of potential. #pttravel

replying to @NomadKeith @NomadKeith @kate_frankie @BPackersGuide I can see us living with this for at least another year, but with mitigation measures gradually reducing as track and trace improves and if/when enough doses of a workable vaccine can be produced at low cost. #pttravel

replying to @NomadKeith @NomadKeith @aok_NW @kate_frankie Might be ;-) but we can't know for sure. I think the difficult part is that uncertainty will remain for quite a while #PTTravel

replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot A very important element to all of this is the economic impact and that many people have different financial circumstances now #PTTravel

replying to @aok_NW @aok_NW @kate_frankie @BPackersGuide That was the one I was thinking about. I hear Imperial College are pretty close, too #pttravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie tbh my financial status isn't caused by The Virus. #pttravel
