replying to @DawnCorleone @DawnCorleone @kate_frankie SCREAMING with frustration. My last out of state trip was March 5-7 in VA (conference) and DC (saw friends.) I loathe this endless lockdown thanks to selfish people. #pttravel

Only 1 solution.

replying to @Txiki_Tales @Txiki_Tales @vickyinglis13 I think its difficult to draw lines since the movement of people within a country is not limited. How can you be certain that all infected people stay in one region only? #PTTravel

A5.) PubClub is a website that thrives on providing travel information (mostly related to nightlife) so am anxious to resume traveling! #PTTravel

Q6 For visitors to your home region, are you open to tourists now and what could they see and do? Give any tips you have

replying to @kate_frankie
@kate_frankie @DawnCorleone @CaitlinKellyNYC Yup
If not flying - I take 2000 mile drives. For fun. Chuckle #PTTravel

replying to @JR_justJR @JR_justJR @DawnCorleone @kate_frankie oooooh, the Organs! How cool! I loved Mesilla. It was very fun to visit his alma mater NMSU and we both gave guest lectures (he's a Pulitzer winning photographer and editor and I'm a writer.) Small world! #pttravel

replying to @Txiki_Tales
@Txiki_Tales @vickyinglis13 ...i mean, if @VisitEngland want to work with me to do exactly that, I'd be up for it. One of my big writing niches is exploration of the UK, & I've indeed written about Leicester &...Calderdale rather than Kirklees but no doubt that'll come! #pttravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie @JR_justJR @DawnCorleone Me? Yes. I've done Montreal to Savannah, GA and all around Ireland and around the Camargue. I love road trips. #pttravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A6: Yes. Anything, mostly. Don't do it. #pttravel

A6 There are good hiking spots and castles in my region (Darmstadt, Germany). I think hiking is quite safe considering that it is outside and distances can be kept easily. My city currently has no infections. But, I'm not sure whether I'd recommend traveling already #pttravel

A6 #pttravel It’s summer on the Oregon Coast. The tourists are here & once in a while you will still hear a language other than English. I say more power to them, but I’ll continue to practice my social distancing for now.

replying to @KinoAlyse @KinoAlyse @kate_frankie Edinburgh is a lovely, walkable city full of fascinating history which I love. The highlands, castles, and lochs are gorgeous. Train system is great so daytrips are easy. It’s a photogenic country. #pttravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A6: Ahh where is home? Newcastle is home...so many outdoor walks in and around the region. Also Northumberland, Tynemouth Beach, Holy Island, endless opps. London well its a global city there is always something to do! #pttravel

A walk along the Thames in #Henley followed by a rewarding meal at the end is one of the small pleasures to look forward to after lockdown is over #PTTravel A6

a) I genuinely have no idea.
b) mainly hiking and exploring the countryside.

replying to @JR_justJR @JR_justJR @kate_frankie @DawnCorleone @CaitlinKellyNYC I think it's good not to fly (too often). If we'd all do that we could contribute to fight climate change #PTTravel

A6 #PTTravel I volunteer at Stonehenge; we're open, although there are some restrictions. Although a limited number of 'walk ins' can be accepted, it's strongly advised that you book online in advance. (I guess that advice is good for anywhere)

A6 We went to Oxford & the Cotswolds a couple of weeks ago. Take plenty of 20p coins - despite cashless payments being a lot more sanitary and convenient, public toilets are only accessible with coins. Hmmmm. 😕 #PTTravel

Thank you for joining a very positive and supportive #PTTravel Chat.
We will get through this and we will travel.
See you next Sunday. Have a good week

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A5. YES! We will get through this. We can’t stop being explorers. That’s just not what humans do. #pttravel

replying to @BPackersGuide @BPackersGuide @Txiki_Tales I think there's already been examples of people exploiting differences in the UK situation, flying into England + driving into Scotland or Wales while we were still advised to stay local. #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie @JR_justJR @DawnCorleone It's always interesting for a Canadian or American to think of a road trip as "far" -- it can take me longer to cross bits of NYC traffic than to cross Ireland (which I have) in 3 hours. #pttravel
