replying to @Notscaredjetlag @Notscaredjetlag @kate_frankie I shall definitely note that down as it's been on my list forever! Thanks #pttravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A4. Usually I'll go on my own. Some places on the UNESCO list have an entry fee, but natural sites are often more accessible + easier to experience without a formal tour. However, a guide can help you access the thoughts + ideas associated with the place #PTTravel

Q5 Which natural UNESCO World Heritage sites would you like to visit that you haven't been to and why?

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #A4 #PTTravel depends on the place, budget & time. In places with no public transport, group tours are good. Most of the sites in the USA I went on my motorcycle. Many places in India, I had the luxury of time to explore on my own with few friends.
replying to @vickyinglis13 @vickyinglis13 @Sail_Irene_1907 That could be a still from a film. Very atmospheric #PTTravel
replying to @bigfatheadz @bigfatheadz Stunning. I really want to spend more time in Patagonia #PTTravel

A5 #PTTravel Plitvice Lakes! We've seen videos, etc, and were going in September, but it got cancelled. Remains on the list for better times, though.
replying to @NomadKeith @NomadKeith @vickyinglis13 @kate_frankie We just did an 18 day road trip and there are still some things we didn't see! It was easy to organise and due to covid nice and empty! #pttravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A4 I made sure I had enough time at the Grand Canyon to do a couple of rims to see the variation & we rented a car. I have done tours before. With national parks I think it’s more enjoyable to take your time, but with ocean sites you obviously need a boat! #pttravel
replying to @Txiki_Tales @Txiki_Tales I went in 2001 - I would need to look in my journal for details! 🤣🤣 #PTTravel
replying to @bigfatheadz @bigfatheadz Yeah, for something like this I'd love to go with a guide that knows the location + how to find the wildlife that you might encounter #PTTravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #PTTravel 2 from the #Serengeti and 2 from #Sintra #UNESCO
A4 We spend $600 for the two of us to go to halong Bay. 2 nights on a boat inc food and activities. Collection and return from hotel. #PTTravel

replying to @vickyinglis13 @vickyinglis13 He was amazing. The first time we'd gone with a guide. We tracked and explored. We saw 6 jaguars in a day and I think it was because of him #pttravel
A5 I have been trying to get us to Bialoweiza National Park in Poland to see the bisons in the snow for a couple of years now, there are minimal tour operators which is great but it won't, yet, fit with our holidays. anyone been? #PTTravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A5. I think the ones I'm most interested in would be the Pamir Mountains in Tajikistan, Lake Baikal, Kamchatka, and Los Glaciares in Argentina #PTTravel
replying to @bigfatheadz @bigfatheadz #pttravel We did a 2-nighter, too ... and wonder if longer cruises, say, a week, are on offer?

replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @kate_frankie Illulissat was supposed to be 2 weeks ago :-s we've rearranged for next year though....#PTTravel I'd also love to go to Lake Baikal.
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie @Sail_Irene_1907 Funny you should say that. The reason we were around the Jurassic Coast at that time was so they could use the ship for some film work. 😂 #PTTravel
