A2 Yes I'm now quite aware of the unesco sites and will base the trip around visiting these places #PTTravel
replying to @ThemTrips @ThemTrips I really would be thrilled if I could get there in the next few years #PTTravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie If you go to Grand Canyon, try to use the East entrance, less traffic. #pttravel

Q4 How much have you spent on visiting these natural sites? Do you have to book with groups/agencies or can you go on your own?
replying to @Notscaredjetlag @Notscaredjetlag @kate_frankie I'd love to go here. I've never thought I'd be interested in the desert, but I've seen so many incredible pictures of Wadi Rum #PTTravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel A4: I've tended to visit places on my own steam, but that's the natural way I travel anyway!
replying to @RTWBarefoot @kate_frankie I suspect for some of the more remote ones on my list though, and that did include Wadi Rum when i visited, I'd have to take a group trip, though that doesn't generally happen very often. #pttravel

A4 #PTTravel It depends on the site. Anywhere from a couple of hours to a couple of days. Only one time did I hire a tour company & that was for Ha Long Bay in Vietnam.
A4 #PTTravel I''d say small groups; they'll organise a guide for you, and show you some of the best places ... and maybe some that those who go gang-handed don't know about. If you make a subsequent visit, maybe you can do your own thing.
RT @Pinkzenjoy: @kate_frankie A2 Not always. I sometimes find out later they're UNESCO heritage sites. #pttravel
RT @Notscaredjetlag: @kate_frankie #PTTravel A3 more Yellowstone https://t.co/VrNKknBofS

The "bigger" ones tend to be the focus of trips, but I always check to see if there are lesser known sites along the way.

replying to @Pinkzenjoy @Pinkzenjoy Same here. I feel like I might intentionally visit a few I'm hearing about in this chat! They are getting incorporated somehow #PTTravel
replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @kate_frankie #pttravel Our guide in Wadi Rum became a friend, and, 20 years on, we still correspond occasionally.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A3. It's not the most representative picture, but this is @Sail_Irene_1907 off the Jurassic Coast last spring. In the thickest fog. I was a bit nervous circling the ship in the tender just on the limit of visibility.😬 #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel A4: I spent 5 full days in Yellowstone and could have used 5 more, there is so much to see. No tour needed. Same for the Dolomites. Komodo on the other hand is almost impossible without a tour I think.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie We want to go back so badly and visit the other islands. It is such a unique and fascinating place. #PTTravel
replying to @Notscaredjetlag @Notscaredjetlag @kate_frankie that was an interesting place. I'd temporarily forgotten I went there lol. #pttravel I like that sort of thing tho.
A4 I tend to get myself there. The exception being the Pantanal where we joined a small group (5 of us) because I wanted to learn about the animals and have the best chance of spotting things. Our guide was super - could do all the bird calls etc #PTTravel

3 A Redwood National Park from a previous trip to the USA. Very sad to see the devastation from wildfires. They are so beautiful and the forests have a great energy
