RT @Txiki_Tales: A5 The desert felt pretty remote despite being only 50km or so from the city #PTTravel https://t.co/xaKCrKsaSr

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie I went to an island in Australia: Keswick & although is not “remote” per se, visiting is challenging. It is so beautiful, quiet, peaceful and you only share it with the very few people living there. #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel A5: also, on my hike across the country last year, i had many nights in a tent, wild camping. That felt very ... miles from anywhere, at times; just me and the countryside.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A6: I would say the extra money you may spend for more extreme trips is worth it! I used to shy away from them because of the price of stuff like ziplining, but it truly has been one of my favorite travel experiences #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie HAVE THE RIGHT CLOTHES FOR THE WEATHER!

I shout cos it will make or break your experience. Wrong clothes and you can be miserable. As someone who hates the cold I now do all I can to manage that with my clothing (or sneaking a hot water bottle in my bed 😂) #pttravel

replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot My speciality trip is a weekend break, walking 15 miles a day and probably consuming 15 drinks during said walk - extreme maybe, but hardly good advice #pttravel

replying to @5to9traveller @5to9traveller @kate_frankie tbh my experience of incessent, continual, four-day rain is that it makes me miserable if I'm hiking in it, even if I do have the right clothes .... #pttravel
