Welcome to #PTTravel Chat!
Where are you joining us from and what have you been doing this week?

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel I've been mostly at home this week, doing compulsory training modules for my new job. Did go for a walk today tho.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie Hi everyone from North Yorkshire - been exploring the autumnal colours in North & West Yorkshire this weekend, only disappointed by complacency towards the surge in you know what. #pttravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie Hello from India! #PTTravel chat! Last weekend went out on a ride with the girls gang exploring #Narayanpet speculated to be the land from where the #Kohinoor diamond came from!

A1 I was 49 last week and often wonder if the type of boozy city breaks we do (although the nights are relatively early) belong more to your 20s. Then I think again and realise that life is too short - just get out there and enjoy yourself #PTTravel

Going on a cruise was something for pensioners but that isn't the case in Antarctica #pttravel A1

A1- I think a lot of young travelers have the misconception that international #travel. If you do your research you can often put international trips together for less than domestic #pttravel #travelingsession #traveltips

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1. Oh yes. At 20, I was told I was “too young” to travel through certain countries alone and years later I was told I was “too old” to bungy jump off Macau Tower. Good thing I don’t listen to those people. 😃 #PTTravel

I was walking this trail in Mount Cook national park and a parent marched passed me carrying a toddler and a baby. #pttravel A2

A2 Travel with kids is NOT easy. Sure there are amazing moments but equally it can be tough and the smile on 'gram doesn't tell the whole story. #PTTravel

A1 There was an old lady - maybe in her 80s that came on the boat ride at Iguazu that went under a tiny bit of the falls - that'll be me :-) #pttravel

A3 #pttravel I have never been told not to go somewhere, but I do remember raising some eyebrows after my trips to Vietnam & The Balkans. I think some get an bad impression of a place when it’s in the news & they forget lands change over time.

A2- A lot of people ask when are kids old enough to travel. My son was 6 & my daughter 9 months when we moved to #Japan. My youngest was born there. They each have 15 countries down. It's about when you're ready, not them.

A3 Don't have many examples. We were in Bangkok during the 2009 uprising and kept getting texts from the FCO and family were worried, but it was really contained to a small area - no unrest here! #PTTravel

A3 #PTTravel I'm just back from the Algarve. I was expecting a rather tacky resort of beaches, bars and golf courses. But, I fould there's a lot else besides

Have you ever waded in a cranberry bog? https://t.co/2hQg5QZSzE We had so much fun with a wagon ride, wine tasting and a plunge! #PTTravel @CranberryDotCA
